If one 7-liter engine can be crammed into a rickety Lada, then a 5,7-liter V8 has to fit easily into an old BMW E30, right? Said and done! And this 3 Series Coupe of the E30 generation already has a V8 engine. Whether the conversion will go down well with die-hard BMW enthusiasts, however, can be seriously doubted. The basis was an E30 as a 325, which, however, was transformed into a drag racer immediately after buying a used car. The crazy thing, he's supposedly still street legal. Under the hood sits a Chevrolet 350 cubic inch V8 engine, which has been coupled to a Borg Warner Super T-10 four-speed manual transmission and has a 9-inch Ford axle.

And the modifications don't stop with the big engine and new gearbox. The German two-door car comes with fully adjustable Koni shock absorbers, there was a new braking system, an MSD ignition system, a Hurst gear lever and special rims with Mickey Thompson 16,5 × 31 racing tires. Other modifications include new wishbones and tie rods, FlowTech manifolds, a RAM clutch, a steel crankshaft, improved pistons and much more. The E30 also has a roll cage and a stripped-down interior. If we receive information on further changes in a timely manner, there will of course be an update for this report.
