YES, diesel is (still) alive in Japan too. This 3D design BMW X3 M40d (G01) with body kit and sports exhaust is the rolling proof. Unfortunately, in 2023 it is already downright unusual to talk about a performance vehicle with a diesel engine. The X3 M40d is definitely a niche model, but it has the tuner 3D design not prevented from putting development work into the production of a tuning package. The Japanese take the LCI version of the X3, which was presented almost two years ago, as a basis. The Munich was given a more distinctive style. Although the X3 M40d isn't a full-fledged M vehicle, the aftermarket specialist does have one, among other things Four pipe exhaust system installed for a more aggressive rear.

And 3D Design also has the eye-catching pipe design of the rear silencer in their range for the less powerful X3 xDrive20d, although for a diesel four-cylinder this is certainly overkill. One is also installed coilover, which is only available in Japan. The tuner has a lowering kit for the M40d and the 20d for international customers as an alternative in the range. The crossover is also on the company's own 21-inch rims, which are available in silver or black. There are also massive side skirts and a roof spoiler, both of which are suitable for both the M Performance vehicles and the standard X3. Other changes include a subtle front spoiler and a revised one rear diffuser.

Although 3D Design has not made any changes to the engine in this case, the straight six-cylinder with 3,0-liter displacement (B57) and 340 PS & 700 Newton meters of torque will follow, but there will certainly be one soon tuningbox. 3D Design has them for many other BMW vehicles in its range.
