400PS & 900NM torque in the B & B Audi A8 4.2TDI type D3 / 4E

And again we have found an extremely high-torque diesel that has received a whopping increase in performance! A few days ago JD Engineering fascinated us with a 1.000NM Audi SQ5 3.0TDI bi-turbo and now there is an Audi A8 4.2TDI from tuner B&B Automobiltechnik. In both vehicles, it is the inconspicuous look that fascinates me personally. This applies to the SQ5 as well as to the A8 from B&B. Incidentally, the basis is the type D3 / 4E which was built from 2002 to 2010. It is motorized with the 4.2 TDI and its standard 240 kW (326 PS). At the time, this engine was the second most powerful diesel engine in the world after the BMW 745d. And after B & B's level 2 increase in performance, he should now be at the top again. After all, the company is pushing the, already somewhat outdated, diesel to a whopping 294kW / 400PS and especially the significantly increased torque of 900Nm should be a big advantage in the A8. B & B does not provide any more precise information about what has been changed, but Stage 2 at least shows that it is not just pure chip tuning. The turbocharger or the intake etc. may also have been revised to achieve this leap in performance. There isn't much more to say about the car so we leave it with the pictures. If we get more information about further modifications made to the A8, there is of course, as always, an update for this post. The best thing is to subscribe to our feed and if there is something new you will be informed immediately. We hope you enjoy looking at the photos.
