Electric drive & carbon body: Alfa Romeo Giulia by Totem!

After the guys from Alfaholics their full carbon Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA-R body presented there is now another very similar project. And that from the tuner Totem Cars! The boys and girls have launched a very interesting Restomod project called "GTelectric". And maybe in the long run it is even a little more promising due to the type of drive. Because Totem Automobili wants to transform a classic Alfa Romeo GT Junior 1300 into a completely electric carbon monster. Small side effect: 525 hp and a massive 940 Nm of torque are supposed to ensure proper propulsion. Enough steam to sprint from 3,4-0 km / h in 100 seconds and, depending on the gear ratio, to reach a top speed of over 300 km / h.

Range approx. 320 kilometers

The Alfa draws its strength from a battery pack with a capacity of 50,4 kilowatt hours, which should also allow a range of around 320 kilometers. According to the totem, the weight of the batteries should be around 350 kg. And a part of the decent range is also the saved weight due to the large body parts made of carbon, which should replace 90% of the original chassis. The rest are said to be self-made from aluminum. Visually, the focus is on new headlights and modified rear lights and a chic Scudetto grill in a new design. In addition, the C-pillar is slightly changed and the wheel arches have forged 17-inch aluminum in the style of the 6s GTAm racing cars with 225 and 245 tires from Continental. And regarding the chassis, the tuner would like to rely on a MacPherson setup with Bilstein Clubsport dampers.

The cabin should have a modern infotainment system

If you prefer something a little more comfortable, you can optionally have an air suspension installed. Incidentally, a completely new subframe is installed in the rear area, which should withstand the torque of the electric motor and is connected to an aluminum multi-link axle. And also in the interior, the tuner wants to set the Giulia apart from the series. A carbon dashboard with two 3,5-inch displays for the instruments and an infotainment system of identical size are planned. And amenities such as power windows, air conditioning, central locking or modern LED ambient lighting are also included. When exactly a completed vehicle will be seen is still unclear.
