The first pictures of the new Bentley Continental GT have surfaced so slowly but surely in the net. However, the third generation will clearly orientate itself on its predecessor and if one can believe the studies, no experiments in design will be dared. OK then! But also the current Continental still completely UpToDate is shows us the tuner Wheelsandmore from Baesweiler near Düsseldorf. As early as 2011, WAM breathed in the 2nd generation as "Xtrasports" based on the GT Speed performance data that were actually reserved for "Supersports". With 702PS and 880Nm torque, the Wheelsandmore version was almost on a par with the Bentley Continental Supersports whose W12 Bi-Turbo achieved a brilliant 710PS ex works. Reason enough for WAM to refine something new from the Continental family range and so much the choice of the current GT Speed.
Ex works this comes with 642PS and 840Nm torque and of course the elegant and popular coupe shape. You can select in the configurator from Bentley from extremely extensive customization options which include, for example, almost 100 different options of painting. Nevertheless, Wheelsandmore saw enough room for more individuality and so Bentley GT Speed riders can not afford the performance, the sound is just too decent, the suspension somehow too leggy and the wheels far too small to order an extensive tuning program at Wheelsandmore. The air suspension of the Britten is modified according to the old tradition by means of an electronic module which ensures stepless lowering and, moreover, significantly improved handling. The smaller space in the wheel arch will be available immediately from the known ones three-piece forged wheels of the type 6Sporz² are much better filled. The exact specifications are 10,0 × 22 inches on the front axle and a whopping 10,5 × 22 inches at the rear.
In the presentation vehicle, all Felgenßenteile were coated in high quality carbon look optics according to customer requirements and radiate so the perfect individuality. Since the GT is not really a lightweight, the new Alu's have to be equipped with reliable 285 / 30 / 22 Sport Contact 6 tires from Continental that ensure perfect traction. With the new wheel set and lowering, you can perfectly achieve the balancing act between sporty and at the same time noble as befits a Bentley. A big part of that, of course, is the orange flame Paint ex works, that's clear. The improved look is underlined by an acoustic optimization. Wheelsandmore builds a handcrafted stainless steel exhaust system which, in combination with catalyst replacement pipes, elicits a breathtaking sound from the W12 bi-turbo engine with the exhaust flaps open.
Especially when switching operations, the bang orgies are likely to provide some fun experiences on the roadside. The real highlight, however, is under the bonnet. The GT Speed was not only supposed to be visually extraordinary, but also to improve its performance. The above-mentioned exhaust system in conjunction with more breathable air filters ensures that the 6,0l unit now produces 713PS and 960Nm torque, which enables the sprint to 100 km / h in approx. 4,0s and ensures an extreme top speed of 335km / h.
