BRABUS 900: The wolf in sheep's clothing with 900 horsepower!

A wolf with 900 horsepower in the discreet sheep's clothing of a sedan: With the new BRABUS 900 supercar based on the current Mercedes-AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+, BRABUS is consistently continuing a decades-long tradition: extremely powerful high-performance automobiles in the inconspicuous guise of a Mercedes E-Class set milestones again and again in the history of the company. As the name suggests, the BRABUS 900 from the 2022 vintage has a particularly strong heart under the hood: the BRABUS ROCKET 900 V8 biturbo displacement engine delivers 4,5 kW / 662 hp thanks to the increase in displacement to 900 liters and a special high-performance charging system . The maximum torque is 1 Nm, but is limited to 250 Nm in the vehicle. The four-wheel drive sedan catapults itself from a standstill to 1.050 km/h in just 2,8 seconds. The 100 km/h sound barrier is broken in just 23,9 seconds. Out of consideration for the tires, the top speed is electronically limited to 300 km/h. In order to combine these speeds with maximum driving stability, the BRABUS designers developed visible carbon aerodynamic components in the wind tunnel that generate additional downforce.

Mercedes-AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+

  • Pure understatement: BRABUS ROCKET power combined with the comfort of a modern sedan
  • Unique carbon aerodynamic refinement
  • BRABUS ROCKET V8 4,5l biturbo displacement engine
  • 662 kW / 900 hp and 1.250* Nm maximum torque (*limited to 1.050 Nm in the vehicle)
  • 0-100 km/h in 2,8 seconds and 330 km/h Vmax (electronically limited)
  • 21" Monoblock Z "Platinum Edition" forged wheels in "Signature Black"
  • Exclusive BRABUS interior refinement

To further optimize the look and driving dynamics, the supercar is equipped with 21-inch BRABUS Monoblock Z "PLATINUM EDITION" high-tech forged wheels and a lowering module for the standard air suspension. Individual customer wishes in the interior can be fulfilled with an exclusive BRABUS fine leather interior. As the world's leading provider of TÜV-tested performance upgrades and displacement engines for Mercedes-Benz automobiles, BRABUS already had various performance levels for the current Mercedes-AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+ in its portfolio.

BRABUS ROCKET 900 V8 biturbo displacement engine

With the BRABUS ROCKET 900 V8 biturbo displacement engine, the Bottrop-based company is opening up a new performance dimension for the current E-Class. The tremendous know-how from more than four decades of tuning not only flowed into the development. The in-house engine construction with high-tech machinery makes it possible to build these engines in the BRABUS factory in Bottrop. In order to increase displacement to 4,5 liters, not only is the eight-cylinder engine block bored to 84 millimeters and fitted with correspondingly larger forged pistons. A special crankshaft, milled from solid and finely balanced, and eight special connecting rods extend the stroke to 100 millimeters. Of course, the V8 is not only modified on the inside. In order to achieve the desired increase in performance, an even more efficient supercharging system was developed. This includes two special BRABUS high-performance turbochargers. They have a larger compressor unit and a special core assembly with reinforced axial bearings. This configuration allows a maximum boost pressure of 1,4 bar. The BRABUS BoostExtra adapters ensure that the engine "blows off" clearly audibly when the driver lifts the gas pedal.

BRABUS 900: The wolf in sheep's clothing with 900 horsepower!

The exhaust side of the engine conversion is supplemented by larger downpipes with a diameter of 75 millimeters, metal catalytic converters and special particle filters. The BRABUS high-performance exhaust system is made entirely of stainless steel and not only minimizes the exhaust back pressure: Integrated exhaust flaps allow the driver in the cockpit to choose between a discreet "Coming Home" mode and a decidedly powerful eight-cylinder sound. On the intake side, a modified intake system ensures an optimized breathing air supply and high-pressure pumps for a correspondingly adapted fuel supply. A special BRABUS engine cover made of red carbon ensures that this engine is also a visual treat.

Peak power of 662 kW / 900 hp

The engine conversion also required a revised engine management system. Extensive series of tests were carried out on stationary engine test benches and all-wheel roller test benches, which were supplemented by driving tests on the road and racing track. This resulted in new maps for injection, ignition and boost pressure control. This not only results in overwhelming power delivery and flawless response across the entire speed range, but also in compliance with the strict EURO 6D ISC-FCM emissions standard. In accordance with the design effort, the ROCKET 900 V8 displacement engine produces outstanding performance values: The peak performance of 662 kW / 900 hp is achieved at just 6 rpm. Equally gigantic is the maximum torque of 200 Nm, which is available at just 1.250 rpm. In order to protect the power transmission, this value is electronically limited to 2 Nm in the vehicle.

BRABUS recommends high-tech lubricants from technology partner MOTUL for this engine. Of course, this high-performance engine is also supplied with the exemplary BRABUS Tuning Guarantee® over 3 years and up to 100 kilometers (according to the BRABUS guarantee conditions, as of July 000). Of course, this wolf in sheep's clothing is also in a class of its own when it comes to performance: In perfect interaction with the nine-speed SPEEDSHIFT transmission and the 2013MATIC+ all-wheel drive, the BRABUS 4 accelerates from 900 – 2,8 km/h in just 0 seconds. The 100 km/h mark is reached after just 200 seconds. It only takes 9,7 seconds to reach 300 km/h. At 23,9 km/h the electronic speed limiter intervenes in order not to overload the tyres.

Driving stability is of course also an important issue at high speeds. To optimize this, the BRABUS designers developed aerodynamic components that are made of carbon and can be ordered with a high-gloss or matt coating. The BRABUS front spoiler lip with raised flaps on the side, which is attached to the bottom of the standard bumper, was not only shaped in such a way that it further reduces lift on the front axle at high speeds: together with the carbon front apron inserts for the side air intakes, it gives the supercar a even more distinctive face. Another extraordinary BRABUS feature are the two carbon air intakes on the left and right of the radiator grille.

BRABUS also offers aerodynamic fine-tuning for the rear of the sedan: the discreet spoiler lip on the trunk lid generates additional downforce on the rear axle at high speeds. The carbon diffuser replaces the standard middle part of the rear apron. Its two cutouts on the left and right perfectly frame the carbon/titanium tailpipes of the BRABUS sports exhaust system, which round off the sporty design. In order to make the BRABUS 900 appear even more homogeneous, all chrome and plastic elements on the body of the vehicle shown here were also painted black. Another characteristic feature of the German tuner are exclusive wheels that make perfect use of the available space in the wheel arches. For the E 63, BRABUS offers 21-inch high-tech forged wheels as a top-of-the-line variant. The BRABUS 900 pictured here rolls on BRABUS Monoblock "PLATINUM EDITION" Z forged wheels painted in SIGNATURE BLACK.

with a new wheel/tire combination

Its filigree ten-spoke design combines light weight with maximum strength. 9Jx21 wheels with 265/30 ZR 21 ContiSportContact 6 tires are used on the front axle. 10.5/21 ZR 305 tires are mounted on the rear 25Jx21 rims. Not only does the exciting look of the BRABUS 900 benefit from this, the handling also becomes even more agile with this wheel/tire combination. The BRABUS suspension module for the standard air suspension, which lowers the sedan by around 20 millimeters, makes the vehicle even sportier. Another specialty of BRABUS are exclusive interior appointments. Under the “BRABUS fine leather” label, the in-house upholstery shop processes the finest leather and Alcantara into an interior that fulfills even the most unusual customer wishes. When it comes to color choices and upholstery designs, the variety is practically limitless. In addition, there are precious wood or real carbon inlays, which can also be custom-made in a wide variety of colors and designs to suit personal taste.

BRABUS 900: The wolf in sheep's clothing with 900 horsepower!

There are also other individual accessories for the cockpit. These include the BRABUS RACE shift paddles on the steering wheel, which are made of aluminum, as are the door locking pins and the pedals. There are stainless steel door sill trims with an illuminated BRABUS logo in various colors to match the ambient lighting in the interior. The BRABUS 900 can be ordered as a complete car. Alternatively, BRABUS converts any current Mercedes-AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+ to this performance level either completely or in stages at the customer's request.

Don't worry, of course that was far from being the case when it came to auto / auto tuning. Our magazine still has tens of thousands other tuning reports in stock. Do you want to see them all? 1. So since you're just horny and I'm going to block you right away..

In no universe on earth is a Brabus a wolf in sheep's clothing. The car is pimped from front to back and every toddler will recognize that.

    you are so embarrassed
