DAMD conversion kit with Defender front on Suzuki Every Van!

Now we have discovered such a conversion kit again, which will be presented in January at the Tokyo Auto Salon. This is a kit from the Japanese tuner DAMD, which has a front section in the style of the old Land Rover Defender on one Suzuki Every Van realized. We would like to introduce the kit to you.

Multi-part, unpainted set!

The front section of the small van is changed by the kit, but the front bumper is unpainted, so it has to be painted after unpacking to match the rest of the van. The rounds headlightsthat included the round Blinker are included in the package, ensure a retro look, which makes the Every Van quirky and lovable from our point of view. The big, rectangular one Grill, a small bonnet with profile folds as well as the matching ones fender complete the revised design.

The name of the kit is called "little. D.“, And it is expected to go on sale in Japan in the summer of 2022. According to DAMD's marketing department, the kit is intended for outdoor enthusiasts who love adventure and nature. We think that the conversion work is also well suited for fans of classic cars and vintage design, because the homage to the legendary Defender of the first generation, which rolled off the production line for over 60 years, conveys a successful retro flair.

660 cc engine with three cylinders

Due to the currently applicable kei car regulations in the land of the rising sun, this vehicle also has to be satisfied with a displacement of just 660 cubic centimeters and officially no more than 64 hp. In Japan, however, the performance is sufficient to ride in traffic, because there are a lot of kei cars populating the streets, as you do not have to provide evidence of a parking space for their registration, and they are also tax-privileged or even tax-exempt. However, the Suzuki is not suitable for driving fun fanatics, as it is the opposite of a sporty vehicle.
