Chinese premium SUV brand Haval (belongs to the manufacturer Great Wall Motors) is a regular participant in the Dakar Rally and has already achieved considerable success there. Now you want to demonstrate with the Haval H9, which is equipped with OEM tuning parts, a lift kit and coarse off-road tires, that you are also serious when it comes to OEM tuning, and has put together a hardcore off-roader, which looks like he's well equipped for any expedition. This variant, which, in contrast to the production model, also has a completely modified front apron with air scoop and body kit look, which looks as if the Haval H9 could complete the Baja California without any problems. A roof box in the Jon Olsson style is then attached to the roof, which is intended to underline the robust expedition look of the Chinese. Wider fenders in gray optics should also signal that this is not an ordinary SUV, but that this off-roader can really do something off-road.
Interior with red elements
Inside, you can find the familiar look of the Haval H9, which has been upgraded with all kinds of red trim. Black and red Alcantara seat covers have also been introduced. Otherwise, all conceivable comfort features, which are also known from the production model, have been retained, so that you do not have to do without the usual comfort even during hardcore expeditions. However, it will be a bit difficult for inexperienced drivers to climb the interior of the elevated Haval H9, as there is no running board in favor of massive ground clearance, as these would only reduce the off-road capability enormously.
Drive known from various Haval models
The robust adventurer is driven by a 2-liter turbo gasoline engine with 224 hp and 385 Nm of maximum torque, and the power transmission of the all-wheel drive, which has permanent all-wheel drive with adjustable driving modes, takes place via an eight-speed automatic system. Unfortunately, no data is known about acceleration and top speed, but hardly anyone should think of racing with such a hardcore off-roader on the freeway, or challenging a sports car, because this vehicle was designed for completely different terrain.
Tuning kit or limited complete model in China
If the normal Haval H9 is not enough, according to my information, you can either buy the tuning kit with the lift kit, the body kit and all the extras listed, or even for 368.800 CNY, which corresponds to about 70.000 euros with taxes and import duties, the complete model of this special edition purchase, which is limited to 99 pieces. This vehicle is certainly a great asset to the off-road scene, because among all the soft-washed SUV models it stands out particularly due to its optical tuning and its sheer size, which is made clear once again by the coarse off-road tires and the lift. Such a car is guaranteed not to be misused as a housewife's armor, and also does not have to be sprayed with mud spray, just so that it gets to feel mud and dirt on the body, because if you decide to put such a model in the garage, which is not too may be low, then you certainly intend to drive away from paved roads.
