Automobili Lamborghini presents the Huracán EVO with rear-wheel drive (RWD): a light driving machine with 610 HP (449 kW) output at 8000 rpm and a torque of 560 Nm at 6500 rpm, which ensures maximum driving pleasure with rear-wheel drive and dynamic steering , With a vehicle weight of 1.389 kg, the Huracán EVO RWD reaches a top speed of 325 km / h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 3,3 seconds. Despite outstanding driving performance, the focus of the Huracán EVO RWD is not on top speeds on the straight or lap records: with a unique new design, the Huracán EVO RWD shows its destiny as an instinctively driver-oriented super sports car.

The fun of driving in the blood

"The Huracán EVO RWD gives the driver full control of the vehicle: Here, the hardware ensures the driving experience," explains Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini. "This vehicle reminds the driver of the origins of Lamborghini engineering: The driver is at the center of the performance of the Huracán EVO RWD and receives immediate, unadulterated, emotional feedback. When it comes to performance, the Huracán EVO RWD relies on the harmonious unity of man and machine: driving skills and the mechanics of the Huracán EVO RWD ensure perfectly balanced driving dynamics, noticeable feedback and pure performance. The Huracán EVO RWD upgrades the V10 Huracán models with a variant that appeals to both brand newcomers and those looking for the ultimate in driving pleasure. ”

Performance Traction Control System (P-TCS)

The V10 unit has much more to offer than just supplying the rear wheels with drive power: the incomparable sound of the naturally aspirated engine paired with the specially coordinated traction control, which delivers a good dose of driving pleasure and emotions in dry and wet conditions as well as on snow. The new Performance Traction Control System (P-TCS) was specially developed for the Huracán EVO RWD and provides powerful torque even during course correction after drift phases. During normal traction controls, an abrupt interruption of the power flow and a complete stabilization of the vehicle before the renewed torque output. wait, P-TCS delivers a torque beforehand to prevent a hard torque cut-off and to ensure better traction at the corner exit. The P-TCS intervention is calibrated based on the driving modes of the Huracán EVO RWD, which are selected using the ANIMA button (Adaptive Network Intelligent Management - “soul” in Italian) on the steering wheel.

P-TCS reduces the slip on the rear wheels

In STRADA mode, P-TCS reduces the slip on the rear wheels to ensure stability and safety in every situation. With a proactive strategy, P-TCS controls the torque output on substrates with low adhesion. In SPORT mode, P-TCS ensures maximum driving pleasure: It allows the rear wheels to spin when accelerating to enable easy drifting without compromising safety. The system detects situations with a large increase in the oversteer angle and limits the torque output to the rear wheels to allow the driver to control and stabilize the vehicle. Corresponding calibration of P-TCS in CORSA mode achieves exactly the rear wheel slip that optimizes the traction and agility of the vehicle at the corner exit and thus ensures an increase in performance. With P-TCS, control intervention is 30% gentler than with the previous Huracán RWD model, traction at the corner exit is improved by 20% and oversteer by 30%.

Hybrid chassis made of aluminum and carbon

The hybrid chassis of the Huracán EVO RWD consists of lightweight aluminum and carbon fiber with a body made of aluminum and thermoplastics. The dry weight of 1.389 kg enables a power to weight ratio of 2,28 kg / PS. The Huracán EVO RWD has a double wishbone suspension with passive shock absorbers and a weight distribution of 40:60 (front / rear axle). The electromechanical dynamic power steering LDS (Lamborghini Dynamic Steering) is specially designed for the Huracán EVO RWD for maximum feedback. The 7-speed dual-clutch transmission ensures the fastest shift times and includes launch control for maximum acceleration from a standing start. The 19 ″ Kari rims with specially developed Pirelli P Zero tires have ventilated and perforated steel brake discs. 20 ″ rims and carbon-ceramic brakes are optionally available.

Fresh design for pure performance

The Huracán EVO RWD continues the powerful design of the V10 Lamborghinis with new features at the front and rear that clearly set it apart from its sister model, the Huracán EVO with all-wheel drive. The Huracán EVO RWD is characterized by a resolute design, which is rounded off by a new front splitter and vertical fins in the widened, framed front air inlets. The rear bumper in high-gloss black includes a new diffuser that is only used in the Huracán EVO RWD. In the interior, the 8,4 ″ HMI touchscreen in the center console enables all vehicle and connectivity functions to be controlled, such as telephone calls, internet access and the integration of Apple CarPlay or Alexa, The personalization program from Lamborghini Ad Personam offers countless color and equipment options for both the interior and exterior paintwork, which enable the owners of the Huracán EVO RWD to design their new Lamborghini according to their personal taste. To emphasize the shape of the vehicle, the new Giallo Belenus (yellow) paintwork was developed together with a special leather and Alcantara tone for the interior, which picks up on the new exterior color. Price and market launch of the Lamborghini Huracán EVO RWD The first customers can receive their new Lamborghini Huracán EVO RWD in spring 2020 at a price of 159.443 euros (recommended retail price, excluding taxes).
