The Lamborghini SCV12, the racing hypercar developed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse and designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile, has completed all development tests and is ready for its world premiere in summer 2020. The vehicle carries the most powerful V12 naturally aspirated engine under the hood, developed by Lamborghini not least thanks to the aerodynamic charging at high speeds of over 830 hp. In order to keep the concentrated performance under control, a new 6-speed dual clutch transmission from the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO is used on the rear axle, which is coupled to the rear wheel drive. (Update: Now it's official!)

Carbon fiber monocoque frame

Another outstanding feature is its low power-to-weight ratio thanks to a new generation of carbon fiber monocoque frames, specially designed for this vehicle. Kinematic solutions based on the model of racing prototypes, such as the push-rod rear suspension installed directly on the transmission, were used for maximum agility and stability as well as unadulterated driving pleasure even on the most demanding racetracks. Special Pirelli slicks with 19 ″ rims at the front and 20 ″ rims at the rear made of magnesium bring the performance to the asphalt. The aerodynamics are the result of the GT racing experience of Lamborghini Squadra Corse and ensure more efficiency and downforce than a GT3 vehicle. The front flap is equipped with the double air inlet with a central bar, which is typical for Huracán racing vehicles, in order to optimize the air flow to the air scoop in the center of the roof. Striking splinters and side elements also stand out on the front. On the sides, vertical fins on the sills ensure an optimized air flow for cooling the engine and transmission. The large adjustable double-profile rear wing rounds off the aerodynamic package.

The vehicle, which is not intended for use on the road, is manufactured entirely in limited numbers at the Sant'Agata Bolognese plant. With the purchase, customers become members of an exclusive club that grants access to special driving programs that enable their own SCV12 to be used on the world's most prestigious racetracks. Customers receive support from the technical team of Squadra Corse and Emanuele Pirro, five-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and tutor for the gentleman racing drivers. If we receive information on further details in a timely manner, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed of this if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to.
