Mercedes has an even sharper version of the GT R at the start. The Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro (2019) is the latest addition to the AMG division. After GT, GT S, GT C and GT R now another example that surprisingly has not become stronger again. The AMG GT R Pro (2019) is as strong as the GT R with 585 PS and 700 Nm. However, the hardcore version of the sports car, limited to 750, comes with some options from motorsport that make a considerable difference on the track , Aerodynamics, chassis, optics and lightweight construction have been redesigned. As a result, racing driver Maro Engel hammered into 7: 04,62 minutes over the Nordschleife, which compared to 7: 10,09 minutes, with the GT R, means an improvement of just 6 seconds.

However, these 6 seconds also have a price of just 45.000 €. The GT R Pro costs at least 211.701 € compared to the 167.000 € of the GT R. In other words, a brand new Ford Mustang GT Cabriolet 5.0 V8, a Chevrolet Camaro 6.2 V8 and even a BMW M2 Competition is not more expensive. The visual differences of the GTR pro are a front apron with XXL splitter and metal braces, there are Doppelflics and eye-catching Radhausentlüftungen (louvers) as on the McLaren 675 LT and even the standard carbon roof has changed. It is now centrally lowered and contributes to improved aerodynamics. At the rear there are vertical aero elements on the apron and the fixed rear wing is now mounted on milled alumengoards and carries an additional spoiler lip (gurney flap).

However, the most eye-catching details are the light green racing stripes in combination with the matt gray livery. Anyone who wants to can the AMG GT Pro but also with dark gray stripes or without order. Not new, however, are the well-known forged wheels of the GT R. At the limited Pro, they are only installed in titanium gray with a high-sheen rim rim. The suspension is based on a coilover suspension, which is adjustable in compression and rebound and the damper can be adjusted by clicking mechanism. And you can even choose between high and low speed settings. Even an adjustable cross bar on the front axle made of carbon is installed and the stabilizer on the rear axle is also adjustable. And pretty radical are the changes in the interior. The standard Track Package is always available, except in the US, Canada and China, which means the Pro brings the bolted steel cage, four-point straps and a 2 kilogram fire extinguisher. In addition, the ultra-light AMG bucket seats in carbon fiber and all the innovations that the AMG GT facelift has received. Meaning that there is the fully digital 12,3-Zoll instrument cluster, the display buttons in the center console and the grippy AMG performance steering wheel with driving modes knob that is always in the GT R Pro with Alcantara (Dinamica) is related.
