The opposite of the one just presented Luxury sprinters of class automobiles probably the new play equipment from the German tuner Hartmann Tuning (Vansports.de) be. Here, too, the basis is provided by a current Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, but it does not want to glide over the motorway with every conceivable luxury, but rather wants to demonstrate its improved properties off the beaten track. Heinz Hartmann GmbH, based in Neuss, Germany has now made the third Sprinter generation (907 series) fit for off-road use under the VANSPORTS.DE label. And that has a long tradition, because the tuner has already shown various off-road conversions with the 447 (V-Class / Vito) series.
The base vehicle is a Sprinter 4 × 4
The base vehicle is a current Sprinter 4 × 4 that can already be ordered from the factory “for the rough” with all-wheel drive including electronic 4ETS power distribution and optional gear reduction. And also an elevation of 11 and 8 centimeters (Front and rear axles) is available from Mercedes. But especially the road tires let the sprinter quickly reach its limits off the beaten track. And that's exactly where VANSPORTS.DE comes in and brings upgrades such as black KRONA alloy wheels in 18-inch format with coarse 265 / 60R18 all-terrain tires with a load index of 119 (1.360 kg) to the Sprinter. All of a sudden, this improves the traction off the beaten track and the milled underride guard with 8 or 6 millimeter aluminum protects the engine, the transmission, the rear axle differential and other sensitive vehicle parts on the underbody from damage.
Mudguard protectors for protection
There are also suitable fender protectors for the body and the matt black side step bars have also been retrofitted to the Sprinter by VANSPORTS. Optional StarBlack strips offer additional protection in the area of the entrance and the loading sill and for the future VANSPORTS.DE would like the off-road range with worklights, air intake snorkels, roof racks or so-called Rock sliders expand even further.
