With its unusual door concept, this vehicle is one of the eye-catchers on the road, even in series production. It doesn't matter whether you find the model cool or ugly, it polarizes in any case. And in contrast to Germany, the mini models in Great Britain are increasingly becoming a tuning object. Of course, the lifestyle transporter does the same Clubman no exception. One such model made by the British tuner Sam Jones was modified, we present it to you today.
Black is trump!
The vehicle is repainted in high gloss metallic black and the flat roof features tattoo motifs featuring both skulls and classic tribals. The graphics look cool and demonstrate the qualities of customization. Sam Jones chose 17-inch AME Shallen alloy wheels for the rims, which with their black finish perfectly match the dark character of the car. On the Alus were Tires of the Nankang brand with the designation NS-20 (format 205/40 R17).
For more draught, an AirLift airrideSuspension not missing, which in this case can be adjusted in four stages. The front and rear bumpers come from the Cooper S, and the Clubman has tinted taillights. Furthermore, the little Englishman got customLED headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights. Camber has also been adjusted negatively and the two rear wipers have been removed to create smoother lines. Last but not least found 3,5-inch thick exhaust pipes with a silver finish made its way to the Mini.
The interior is strange!
A carbon-grey dashboard, which is partly lined with tartan, causes a stir. The same pattern can also be found in the spokes of the multifunction steering wheel and makes the cool van unique. This is joined by a gloomy one shift knob by We Are Likewise Death, which could have come from a Hollywood movie car. The gloomy style of the exterior is thus continued in the interior.
A 1,6 liter diesel engine drives the vehicle!
The drive source is a 1,6-liter diesel engine with four cylinders, which thanks to Stage 1 tuning has been brought to an appropriate 140 PS & 310 Newton meters of maximum torque. This won't make the lifestyle vehicle a hit, but the performance should be sufficient for everyday use. It is shifted via a manual six-speed gearbox and the power is transmitted exclusively to the front wheels. Incidentally, tuner Sam Jones could also get a crazy one Engine swap to introduce. One can be curious.
Our conclusion:
- Congratulations to tuner Sam Jones. We recognize a clear tuning philosophy and everything on the vehicle looks harmonious and tasteful. We give it a thumbs up for that.
