It's been a good 8 months since the Japanese tuner Wald Internationale has one first view the planned body kit for the current eco-model Toyota Prius IV, which has been available since this year, is promised. The main focus of the new Prius is the fact that it is the first Toyota model that is created on the new platform TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture). But of course that is no reason not to tune the car clearly, even if the term “tuning”, in connection with a “Prius”, is somehow difficult to explain. Since the preview pictures, however, the project had become quite quiet and tuners like Rowen International overtook the forest project and presented their interpretation of the Prius already before. But you have to say very clearly that the wait for the other Japanese tuner was worth it because in contrast to the Rowen International Bodykit just mentioned, this variant, especially with the chic in-house alloy wheels, looks much more pleasing and less exaggerated. The Wald Internationale body kit is also extremely extensive and, at least at the rear, quite similar to the Rowen variant.

Here, too, the eye-catcher is a central rear fog light that is reminiscent of an F1 car! And that on a Prius - * shake of the head *! What is still difficult to sell in Europe will definitely be a bestseller in Japan for those who are fed up with the boring eco-look but who will find the extreme Rowen variant “Too much”. After the tuning cure that the Prius was allowed to endure, it is now much more conspicuous, more individual and somehow more dynamic than the production version, that much is certain. Even if a tuned 122HP hybrid will still not be the rule, the Wald International Version can certainly be given its raison d'etre. Even if the diffuser at the rear looks as powerful as the one on the Rowen counterpart, the missing 4-pipe sports exhaust system is a blessing because this is definitely nonsense in my opinion. If you are thinking of buying a current Prius in the future or already own one, Wald Internationale is definitely an interesting starting point when it comes to differentiating the vehicle from the production model without falling completely out of the ordinary.
