Rabid Customs Ford Bronco with a cool retro look!

One thing is clear, week 4 of 2022 is definitely Broncos week! Because both the long-awaited Bronco Raptor as well as the heavily tuned one Hennessey VelociRaptor 400 premiered this week. Both are over 400 hp and in the case of the Raptor, the Bronco even uses a completely new engine with the 3,0-liter V6 engine. And while we're at it, we're now introducing you to another tuned Bronco of the current generation. And it's at least as interesting as the other two. The unique item comes from a tuning shop near Columbus in the state of Ohio (USA). The company is called "Rabid Customs“ and you see yourself as a tuner for old classics, but also for current vehicles. And the tuned Bronco is definitely a current vehicle, but with the look of a classic. It fits!

The Rabid Customs team used a five-door as the basis for the conversion Bronco Badlands with the factory finish "Eruption Green". This is a rather dark green, which, however, tends to turn golden yellow after exposure to light. The tuning specialists work on the Bronco with the team from "The TintLab' together, who in turn have focused on wrapping vehicles and are not far from Rabid Customs.

At The Tint Lab they created one Vintage partial wrap, which, with contrasting colors in light yellow and orange, goes into a perfect combination with the paintwork. The yellow and orange stripes wrap around the Wheel arches and about the side skirts and there is also an additional one at waist level color accent. The splash of color ends with a "Rabid Offroad" logo on the rear fenders. In terms of foiling, complete the Bronco with a stripe around the Power Dome on the hood. But just a little foil was not enough. Rabid Customs did even more. Among other things, the tuner changed the chassis. And with a view to even greater off-road capability.

Changes to the chassis and wheels

A massive one is installed 2,5 inch (6,35 cm) lift kit, which in combination with a brand new chrome wheelset Pro Comp 17×9 Vintage 69 rims with deep lugs BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A off-road tires for a powerful Höherlegung cares. In combination with specially made chrome plated Bronco emblems on the front fenders, the vintage style is clearly reinforced. The result is an extremely successful look that is in no way inferior to the old-school Bronco in beautiful mint green that can also be seen in the pictures. Technical changes to the engine have been made known to us not performed. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
