Alpine F1 driver Esteban Ocon will take part in a rally for the first time in the Alpine A2021S as part of the 110 Monte-Carlo Rally. At tomorrow's season opener for the World Rally Championship, the 24-year-old Frenchman will complete two special stages outside of the official classification. With his A110S painted in the traditional blue, Ocon will compete in the first special stage over 20,58 kilometers between Saint-Disdier and Corps and in the second special stage over 20,78 kilometers between Saint-Maurice and Saint-Bonnet. With the starting number 31, his vehicle bears the Frenchman's traditional Formula 1 number. In addition to the start of Ocons, Alpine will take part in the 2021 Monte Carlo Rally with six A110s in the near-series R-GT class.

Rallying has always been a dream of mine and driving the A110S in Monte-Carlo is a great way to start the year"Says the Formula 1 driver. Alpine can look back on a successful history at the Monte-Carlo Rally. This is where the reputation of Alpine was established. In 1971 the brand scored a spectacular triple victory in the classic. In 1973, the year it won the first World Rally Championship, the sports car brand repeated this triumph.
