Video: BMW M8, Audi R8 & Mercedes AMG GT R on the track!

When the new BMW M8 Competition Convertible meets the Mercedes-AMG GT R as a roadster and the Audi R8 Spyder as a performance model, an exciting duel will definitely be ensured. The M8 Competition is currently the most powerful production vehicle from BMW, but is still not a thoroughbred athlete like the GT R or the R8. Is the key data from 0-100 km / h in 3,1 seconds, 4,4-liter BiTurbo V8 with 625 PS / 460 kW and 750 Nm torque sufficient to put the opponents in the barriers at the Lausitzring? After all, the GT R Roadster with 4,0-liter BiTurbo V8 delivers a whopping 585 hp / 430 kW and 700 Nm of torque and pounds a 0 in the asphalt when sprinting from 100 to 3,5 km / h. And the counterpart from Ingolstadt is not really tame either. The R8 has a 5,2 liter V10 vacuum with an impressive 620 PS / 456 kW and 580 Nm torque on board. Enough steam to complete the sprint from 0-100 km / h in about 3,1 seconds. AUTO BILD SPORTSCARS tried it out what the beautiful open two and four seaters can do on the racetrack.

About Thomas Wachsmuth

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
