In the following video, the current Audi RS6 Avant (C8) has to compete against the "still" current Mercedes-AMG E63S (W213) in a drag race. Two vehicles that have key data from earlier supercars and four-wheel drive. And the guys from Throttle House now had the opportunity to have the vehicles compete against each other in a drag race. They started with a typical quarter mile race and a standing start and the E63S easily takes victory here. The additional 9 kW (12 PS) and 50 NM compared to the RS6 have been implemented quite effectively by Mercedes. We think the distance between the two is surprisingly great. The difference is even clearer in the comparison made with a rolling start. Here the Mercedes can break away even more clearly.

But the guys from Ingolstadt still have an ace up their sleeve. You play the Audi on the spot an increase in performance by means of chip tuning from a Canadian tuner. And the upgrade is pretty substantial. The result is an astonishing 800 hp (597 kW) and 1.220 Nm of torque. Such a leap in performance using software alone seems a little suspect to us. In our opinion, approx. 700 PS and 900 NM would only be realistic using chip tuning. In order to achieve more you should go to the turbocharger, the air supply and also to the exhaust system. Was there a bit of a whisper here? Was it perhaps a modified hardware installed that could only take advantage of the software installed? We do not know it! But what we do know: You can also tune an E63S!
