A standard Audi R8 with its 5,2 liter V10 vacuum cleaner and 620 PS & 580 NM is an absolute beast from the factory. But the series would never come with the bi-turbo coupe from the tuner Underground racing can keep up. This is shown impressively by this video of the "rear-wheel drive" UR-R8. He recently set a record among R8 vehicles by being the first to break the seven-second mark on the quarter mile. He made the quarter mile in exactly 7,695 seconds at 196,76 miles per hour (approx. 317 km / h). And the R8 even built in the entire interior, which means that the vehicle still weighs a good 1.730 kilograms without a driver. The R8 has installed the X version from Underground Racing.

According to the UR, this is a huge 1.200 PS (895 KW) “on the bike” with 93-octane fuel, expressed in numbers. On racing gasoline, the power “on the bike” can be increased to an incredible 2.200 to 3.000 hp (1.641 and 2.237 kW). In addition to the twin turbo setup, the R8 has installed an improved DCT transmission from Underground Racing, new drive shafts, a new cardan shaft and of course a new engine management system (chip tuning). In general, everything that is somehow responsible for bringing the enormous power of the V10 engine to the road has been revised. And the R8 is also fit on the half mile (804,7 meters) and breaks it at 393 km / h. Crazy…
