2022 Abarth 695 Tributo 131 Rally as a tribute to Walter's Fiat!

The Abarth 131 Rally, the vehicle that captured the imagination of a generation of racing car enthusiasts, is back on the roads around the world with a new look: on the 695th anniversary of its last race, the brand with the scorpion pays homage to the famous world champion car with the Special series Abarth 131 Tributo 695 Rally. This strictly limited edition will be available in just 695 units worldwide. The latest version of the top-of-the-line Abarth 695 pays homage to Abarth's racing history. In fact, competitions have always been part of Scorpio DNA. Thanks to the technological "transfer", the most innovative solutions have been tested on the track to increase performance and reliability - and, as has always been the practice with Abarth, transferred to the production car. Therefore, the new special edition 131 Tributo XNUMX Rally is an authentic concentration of technology under the banner of the brand's traditional founding values: performance and style. An adrenaline-charged driving experience is therefore also guaranteed in everyday life.

Abarth 695 Tribute 131 Rally

  • Forty years after the last official Abarth 131 Rally race, the brand is paying tribute to this icon with the launch of the Abarth 695 Tributo 695 Rally special series, limited to 131 units worldwide.
  • Sportiness and attention to detail are the focus of this limited special series, which follows the start of the 2022 model year.

The Abarth 695 Tributo 131 Rally is equipped with a 1,4 T jet engine that delivers 132 kW (180 hp) and 250 Nm of torque at 2.250 rpm. The top speed is 225 km/h and it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6,7 seconds. It is available with either a 5-speed manual or an automated 5-speed manual transmission. The standard equipment of this model also includes Koni FSD shock absorbers on both axles, as well as a special braking system that includes four-piston aluminum Brembo® brake calipers and ventilated brake discs with a diameter of 305 mm (front) and 240 mm (rear).

The equipment is rounded off by the black 17″ light-alloy wheels with diamond-cut finish and the “Record Monza Sovrapposto” sports exhaust system. The latter is a further development of the Record Monza system and provides the typical Abarth sound, but now with four vertically stacked end pieces. The new Abarth 695 Tributo 131 Rally also comes with the innovative "Spoiler ad Assetto Variabile" adjustable to 12 positions. With an inclination from 0° to 60°, it ensures a possible increase in aerodynamic load, which leads to greater stability in corners and better responsiveness to different road conditions. In the maximum inclination position (60°), the spoiler increases the aerodynamic load by up to 200 kilograms at a speed of 42 km/h.

"Rally Blue" and black roof

2022 Abarth 695 Tributo 131 Rally as a tribute to Walter's Fiat!

The Abarth 695 Tributo 131 Rally boasts a unique and refined look with specific references to its historic predecessor, such as the new two-tone "Rally Blue" paint finish with a black roof. This reinterprets the original color of the motorsport icon in a contemporary color scheme. The vehicle is also available in the single-colour metallic finishes "Rally Blue" and "Record Gray". The Abarth 695 Tributo 131 Rally is the first Scorpio vehicle to include "Easter Eggs": to surprise customers, the designers hide tiny stylistic "gems" such as the silhouette of the historic 131 Rally integrated into the shoulder strip and also in the Alcantara® dashboard, as well as on the headrests of the new seats.

Inside, the sporty character is confirmed by the Sabelt® racing bucket seats with blue inserts and stitching that evoke the historic 131 Rally but reinterpreted in a modern way. All of this helps to remind us of the incredible track record of the Abarth 131 Rally, which debuted in Group 1976 in 4 and made a splash in the World Rally Championship for six years (1976 to 1981). The 131 Rally won 18 international rallies - the last success was "run in" in March 1981 at the Rally Portugal by Markku Alén. In addition, the vehicle won the manufacturers' title in the world championship three times (1977, 1978 and 1980), won the FIA Rally Drivers' Cup twice with Alén and was driver world champion with Walter Röhrl last year.
