Can you still remember that? Wide body kit for the Audi Q5 and SQ5 remember from February this year? Tuner ABT Sportsline equipped the popular SUV from Ingolstadt with flared fenders all around and modified rear aprons as well as a significant increase in performance (SQ5 to 425 PS / 313 kW & 550 Nm). If the look is a bit too heavy for you, there is now a variant without Wide body. Quasi an aero package "narrow construction". The body kit now includes a modified front apron, subtle door strips as well as a new rear bumper and an optional roof wing. The ABT silencers with 4 x 102mm stainless steel tailpipes are also integrated in the bumper (at the SQ5 in carbon). ABT brings a "real" exhaust to the rear because only two chrome clips are installed ex works.
And even without flared fenders, there is enough space in the wheel arch for new aluminum rims. ABT has chic alternatives on offer here. On request there are the well-known 20- or 21-inch rims of the type "DR" in gun metal (21 inch) or mystic black (20/21 inch) and the "ER-C" (20 inch) in matt black . Alternatively, there is the "FR" variant which can be installed in mystic black in the 21 inch format. So that the selected wheel set sits perfectly in the wheel arch and moves even more dynamism into the Ingolstadt, a coilover kit can be installed as an option, which ensures a variable lowering of 35 to 60 mm. And of course the brilliant performance enhancements are also available without the widebody kit. The three-liter turbo gasoline engine of the SQ5 with standard 354 hp then has 425 hp and 550 Nm, as already mentioned, and a specially developed control unit called ABT Engine Control (AEC) is responsible for this.
The software of the AEC module is specially adapted for the respective vehicle model. The module is also available for a large number of other engines. The Q5's top diesel, for example, is pushed from 286 hp to 330 hp and at the same time the maximum torque increases from 620 Nm to 670 Nm. Last but not least there are also accessories inside and so the Q5 comes with a chic ABT start / stop switch, a gear knob cap made of real carbon or the optional ABT door entry lighting. If we still get details about the changes, there will of course, as always, be an update for this report. - Performance increase of the SQ5 to 425 PS / 313 kW & 550 Nm (series 354 PS / 260 kW) or of the diesel in the Q5 from 286 PS to 330 PS & 670 Nm - (chip tuning, tuning box Abt Engine Control)
- 4 pipe sports exhaust system with carbon tailpipes on the SQ5 or stainless steel on the Q5
