Now he is "released"! In the last few days, traditional tuner ABT Sportsline has been with them two teaser videos excited for an alleged Audi RS6-E (E1000). Now the time has come and ABT has presented the prototype. The important things first: 1.018 PS and 1.291 Nm maximum torque! Umm. Okay - it's a prototype anyway. This is the next generation of tuning - definitely. And as already correctly suspected, the crazy power comes from the well-known V8 biturbo in combination with one Electric motor. This puts you on par with Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 or even a Honda NSX. The only difference is that the ones just mentioned, especially with regard to the NSX, have significantly less power.
Specifically, the tuner naturally achieves the performance plus with the already known components in the form of a complete exhaust system including replacement front silencer pipes, a new engine control unit and changes to the cooling of the engine. The RS6-E 1000 is now joined by the electric motor with an additional 288 hp and 317 Nm of torque. However, the technology also brings an additional weight of 255 kg with it, so that the RS6 now weighs an impressive 2205 kg. The electric motor draws its power from a battery with a capacity of 13,6 kWh. It should enable 15 boosts and is installed in the trunk.
You can connect the extra power conveniently by pressing a button on the steering wheel and it does all this with at least 75 percent accelerator pedal operation as well as from 100 km / h and only in the last five gears of the 8 automatic transmission. The background is simply that one with 1.300 NM and full throttle from the start would disassemble the car into its components. Understandable! Surprisingly, despite the extra weight compared to the RS6-R in the sprint to 100 km / h supposedly nothing changes (3,3 sec). The extra performance at intermediate sprints and, of course, speeds over 100 km / h are shown to advantage. Unfortunately, ABT does not yet give any exact data. Just an indication that a top speed of 320 km / h is easily achieved.
But we believe we can see that it went from about 115 km / h to about 290 km / h in 19 seconds. If you add a good 5 seconds to the sprint to 100 km / h + the remaining 10 km / h to 300 then the E 1000 should need around 24 seconds to 300 km / h. That would be a good 12 seconds faster than a "normal" RS6-R and a huge difference. Apart from the foiling, the look of the hybrid is familiar. There are the well-known aerodynamic parts made of carbon in the form of the additional front spoiler, air inlets in the bumper, front flaps right & left, fender inserts, sill approaches, a roof spoiler, a sporty diffuser and side approaches on the rear bumper. And the spacey rims are already known in a similar way. The type ABT GR is built in 21 inches and brings the attached ring from Formula E as it did on RS6 + PROJECT PHOENIX by Jon Olsson.

The built-in H&R coilover kit ensures that the wheel set is consistently positioned in the wheel arch and the body is clearly lowered towards the road. The optically most striking feature is of course the aforementioned full film, which is intended to be reminiscent of a circuit board design. Of course, the Abt Sportsline RS6-E 1000 is a prototype, but it definitely shows where the journey will lead in the next few years. ABT Sportsline is currently leaving open whether this vehicle has a chance in series production.
