At the beginning of 2019, tuner ABT Sportsline got the VW T6 e-Transporter with body kit presented and now the ABT e-Line is also available as an official premium partner of Volkswagen for the lifted VW T6.1 facelift. The ABT e-Transporter 6.1 will go into production from the beginning of this month. The strategic cooperation partner behind the e-Transporter remains the Schaeffler Group, which has been doing pioneering work in Formula E together with ABT since 2014 as part of a technology partnership. The VW T6.1 as ABT e-Transporter 6.1 comes onto the road with 111 PS / 83 kW and a maximum torque of 200 Nm. This enables a top speed of 90 km / h or optionally even up to 120 km / h. Depending on the version, the range is between 105 and 138 km (according to WLTP) with a battery capacity of 37,3 kWh (gross).

The power consumption is converted between 27,0 and 35,8 kWh / 100 km. The battery weighs 333 kilograms and is fully charged with AC on a 7,2 kW wall box in around 5,5 hours. If you use a rapid charging station (CCS) with 50 kW, up to 45 percent can be achieved in around 80 minutes. You can buy or lease the 2020 ABT e-Transporter 6.1 from selected dealers of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWN) and from the well-known ABT e-Line partners. Incidentally, the electric van is also sold in France, Sweden, Poland, Spain, England and Italy. And because ABT has loved to refine the VW Transporter for generations, the tuner has also made the optional aeropackage suitable for model maintenance. It comes with front apron attachment, front grill attachment, side strips, rear wing and rear apron attachment on the T6.1. And of course, the popular ABT aluminum rims of the GR type are also available in the 9,0 x 20 inch format for the T6.1.

Regarding the painting of the aluminum, you can choose from two surfaces in matt black with a diamond-cut surface or in glossy black with a diamond-turned rim flange. The T6.1 as ABT e-Transporter 6.1 continues to offer the full load volume of 6,7 m³ and can transport up to 9 people as a station wagon or caravelle. The maximum payload is 977 kg as a commercial vehicle and up to 1.096 kg as a car. If you want to tow a trailer, brakes of up to 1.500 kg are possible and 750 kg without brakes.
