ABT RS3-R with 500 hp and carbon aero package

When it made its debut in 2021, the Audi RS 3 immediately set a Nordschleife record for compact class vehicles. Anyone who is not yet satisfied with this can have the 400 hp (294 kW) series engine further optimized by ABT Sportsline for a few months. 460 horsepower (338 kW) are the sovereign output. However, anyone who believes that the ultimate in the compact class has already been reached does not know the world's largest tuner for vehicles from the Audi and VW Group. Because with the strictly limited to 200 copies ABT RS3-R Sportback the family business raises the bar even higher. It has a full 500 hp (368 kW) in its data sheet.

"You shouldn't put off your rendezvous with our smart car for too long - because soon all the cars could be sold out," explains the managing partner Hans-Jürgen Abt with a wink. And as with all special editions from ABT Sportsline, not only has the performance screw been turned: With its extensive aero package, attractive forged wheels and much more, it stands for car love at first sight.

When increasing performance ABT PowerR comes next to the obligatory AEC control unit a ABT intercooler for use. With the RS3-R, this combination not only ensures the already mentioned 100 additional hp, but also brings with it a torque increase of the same amount, so that instead of 500 now a maximum 600 Nm be available. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h improves significantly thanks to the increase in performance: from 3,8 to 3,3 seconds. In addition, a visually attractive frame was prepared for the iconic timbre of the five-cylinder engine from ABT Sportsline. So join the exhaust system now offers matt black 4-pipe tailpipes made of stainless steel with a diameter of 95 millimeters.

ABT suspension springs & sport stabilizers

In connection with the breathtaking driving performance ABT suspension springs and sport stabilizers that you don't have to pull the reins too hard on this "hot hatch" even in sharp turns. Optionally, a complete ABT coilover sport suspension V3 be installed in stainless steel. The latter is a real highlight that is more than just a variable Lowering of 20-40 mm on the front and rear axle. Rebound and compression can be adjusted separately. Of course, this product was meticulously and exclusively matched to the parameters of the RS3-R by the in-house experts, so that driving fun is just as important in everyday life as it is on the race track.

A particularly innovative feature, however, is the increase in the standard limited top speed to 3 km/h, which can be freely booked with the RS300-R - and it's really easy with the new one myABT app for Apple and Android devices. In addition, the performance characteristics, and thus the charisma of the vehicle, can be adapted to one's own needs at any time: the spectrum ranges from ECO to SPORT to RACE. The users also get an insight into the performance data of their vehicle - this includes, for example, the currently accessed performance or the coolant and intake air temperature. In Germany, you can also use the myABT app to check petrol prices, find the nearest gas station and pay directly at selected stations (rydPay).

In addition to the 500 hp that is ABT aero package but certainly the biggest highlight of the RS3-R. It consists almost entirely of visible carbon with a high-gloss finish. Count to scope front lip, front flics and mirror cap attachments as well as rear apron and rear spoiler. In addition, there are the glossy black ones fender attachments. The sporty, elegant appearance is underlined by 20-inch forged wheels of the type ABT High Performance HR20, with the GOODYEAR Eagle F1 SuperSport R are fitted with 245/30 R20 tires. The manufacturing process of the rims enables structural lightweight construction and thus low unsprung masses, which contributes to agile handling.

As a Special Edition model the ABT RS3-R also offers in the inner space more than just off-the-shelf sportiness. So one takes here in grafted Seats with ABT and RS3-R logo space. One emblem plaque with the inscription "ABT RS3-R 1/200" and the inscribed ones Side sill indicate the exclusive quantity. The optical performance is rounded off by the ABT Door entry lighting with the ABT logo, the Deep pile overmats with the RS3-R logo and the ABT start-stop switch cap. After all, such a potent engine wants to be brought to life in a manner befitting its status.
