Here we go! ABT modifies the first hybrid car in series. And a quick look at the data sheet reveals something unexpected: the SQ5 with the powerful diesel does not have the most horsepower within the Q5 hierarchy - it is 55 TFSI and four with a system output of 367 hp (270 kW) and 500 Nm torque. This cutting-edge plug-in hybrid vehicle combines a four-cylinder petrol engine with 252 hp (185 kW) and 370 Nm and an electric motor. With the new performance enhancement from ABT Sportsline, the combustion engine within this constellation now has 310 HP (228 kW) and 420 Nm torque, which in the end is a significant gain. Together with the standard electric motor, this results in a system output of powerful 425 hp (313 kW) and 550 Nm with which you can annoy a SQ7, insofar as it does not was tuned by ABT.

"For us, this Q5 is a real premiere, after all, this SUV is our first hybrid vehicle", says managing director Hans-Jürgen Abt Prototype ABT RS6-E 1000 experimented with a hybrid before, but the 1.000 PS steam hammer was not ready for series production. From a driving dynamics perspective, the hybrid version of the Q5 has a relatively lower center of gravity. Because the low position of the battery, the high structure is successfully compensated. And the ABT Power performance upgrade is also suitable for the 50 TFSI e, which has the identical petrol engine under the hood. However, since a slightly weaker electric motor is used ex works, the result is 357 hp (263 kW) instead of 299 hp (220 kW), the total torque 500 instead of 450 Nm is slightly lower compared to the ABT Q5. With regard to the rims, ABT has installed the two-color ABT GR in 5 inches on the Q55 20 TFSI e. A body painted in glossy black contrasts elegantly with the well-known diamond-turned rim flange.

Alternatively, the sporty, elegant rim is also available in matt black and a completely diamond-turned surface. A common design feature of the two types is the strongly concave rim base. The ABT GR aluminum bike looks good and contributes to perfect handling of the Q5 with E-Power thanks to its fine balance. And as always, ABT Sportsline still has attractive details for the interior. There is, for example, the well-known ABT door entry lighting with logo projector, the start-stop switch cap and the gear knob cap that we already know from other vehicles. As mentioned at the beginning of the article, we have some new information about the ABT Sportsline Audi Q5 TFSI E. which we have to tell you of course. The kit is now available again as a widebody version. ABT has already offered this for the VorFacelift and of course the lifted variant as a wide body should not be missing. The extensive aero package for the power SUV then not only includes the front apron, the door trim strips, the rear wing, the new rear apron and the carbon twin tailpipe trims with a diameter of 102 mm, but also the particularly striking package version on request Breitbau with additional fender flares at the front and rear.
