As is well known, ABT Sportsline is celebrating its 125th birthday next year and in order to increase the anticipation for the anniversary even more, an ABT RSQ8-R is planned for each of these years. That means there will be 125 vehicles! According to ABT, the limited RSQ8-R is the ultimate expansion stage of a car that, with 600 PS (441 kW) and 800 Nm, already in series production set the Nordschleife record for SUVs. A short time after the record run, ABT Sportsline presented one Performance increase on 700 PS (515 kW) and 880 Nm for the coupe-SUV and the exclusive special model that has now been presented, this yield is even better.

Because now the high-tech ABT Engine Control in combination with a specially designed charge air cooler delivers powerful 740 hp (544 kW) and 920 Nm of torque. So exactly the key data that the technically identical RS6-R and RS7-R can show. And there is also a top speed increase for the pseudo off-roader. It is not 320 km / h, but the 315 km / h that are now possible are not really a noticeable difference as we find. Especially with regard to the vehicle type. Because until recently, +300 kilometers per hour were reserved for pure super sports cars. And the RSQ8-R also impresses acoustically. With a stainless steel silencer system with four tailpipe trims, each 102 millimeters in diameter.

Another highlight is of course the eye-catching aerodynamics package. It is shown on the RSQ8-R with individual carbon fiber elements in the form of an additional front apron attachment, a front lip with attachment, mirror cap attachments, sill swords, fender inserts, fender flares all around, a rear apron attachment and a special rear spoiler. And, of course, the RSQ8-R also had a gear train in keeping with its class. The weight-optimized 23-inch flowforming wheels of type ABT High Performance HR with slippers in the format 295/35 R23 are installed on the photo vehicle. And using ABT Level Control (ALC), the Allgäu tuner also lowers the standard air suspension by a few millimeters and integrates the new aluminum perfectly into the wheel arch.

In the comfort level, the Q8 is approx. 25 mm lower, in the dynamic level it is 15 mm and a further 10 mm are possible with the so-called "coffee mode". And of course the interior of the Q8 has also been extensively planned.
