He is Audi's luxury steamer with active chassis! The S8 of the D5 generation with 571 hp and 800 Nm torque from a V8 biturbo. In Germany, it is only available with a short wheelbase, but in the USA, Canada, China and South Korea, it is even 12 centimeters longer. And unlike the S6 and S7, the S8 still has a petrol engine. And it ensures a sprint from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3,8 seconds and there is great workmanship, the finest leather and S8-specific carbon trim strips wherever you look. And in early 2019, tuner ABT Sportsline already had its first one Aerodynamics package and an increase in performance presented for the A8 as 3.0 TDI. Almost 1 1/2 years later it was the top model S8's turn! This was not given the aerodynamic package but a significant increase in performance.
700 PS and 880 Nm torque
Specifically, the specially designed software of the high-tech control unit ABT Engine Control provides 700 HP (515 kW) and a maximum torque of 880 NM. The result is an acceleration to 100 km / h in just 3,4 seconds and the tuner can increase the top speed from 250 to 270 on request. And optically you give the A8 top model a few distinctive ABT accessories along the way. One of them is the filigree spoiler lip made of carbon fiber on the tailgate and the factory wheelset can also be replaced. Here ABT has the type ABT GR or FR available in 20 inch format and the latter is also available in 21 inch on request. The classic FR in five-spoke design with diamond-cut outlines and a finish in mystic black is installed on the black photo vehicle.
ABT Sportsline rims FR or GR
If it is the GR with a concave rim bed and glossy black lacquered body, this comes with a diamond-turned rim flange on the A8. And as a last alternative, the GR type is available in matt black and with a completely diamond-turned surface. And ABT also has a few small details ready for the cabin, so the S8 can be equipped with the ABT start-stop switch cap and the ABT shift knob cap, for example. We currently have no further details on the ABT S8. If we receive timely information on further changes not previously mentioned, there is of course an update for this report.
