At the beginning of the year, Seat is known to have the subsidiary Cupra (Own notation: CUPRA) founded as a brand of Seat Sport SA (we reported). All activities in motorsport have since been continued under the new brand and sporty vehicles from Seat are now only available as Cupra. But for tuners ABT Sportsline the Cupra's are apparently not athletic enough yet. After you have been in the summer ABT Sportsline ST "Seat" Cupra 300 Carbon Edition Presenting an impressive 370 PS it was the turn of the first specimen that is NOT called “Seat”. The Cupra Ateca! ABT has already modified the SUV and with it the first "Cupra".
Cupra Ateca with 350 PS & 440 NM
Ex works 300 PS (221 kW) and 400 Nm strong, the Ateca brings it to impressive 350 PS & 440 NM after the power injection from ABT. Even the standard version flies to 5,2 km / h in just 100 seconds and continues to accelerate to 245 km / h almost unimpressed. The ABT Ateca now manages this discipline in exactly 5 seconds and the top speed increases by 10 km / h to 255 km / h. Of course, the 440 NM, which are between 2000 and 5200 rpm, have a large part in this. Incidentally, ABT achieves the increase in performance using a known control unit Abt Engine Control (AEC). And visually something has changed. The Cupra Ateca was put on a set of black ABT Sport GR alloy wheels in 20 Customs and moreover, a subtle lowering seems already installed.
20 inch alloy wheels with 235/35 ZR20 XL tires
When it came to tires, ABT decided to use Continental tires in the 235 / 35 ZR20 XL format. At the rear there was still an ABT Sportsline emblem and thus the Ateca is rounded off. Incidentally, the Spaniard can be seen at the Essen Motor Show (1 until 9, December) and more precisely, it is the joint booth of Continental and ABT in the 3 hall. And another vehicle has ABT at Seat Partner Dialog in Berlin for the subsequent event Cupra X in the bag.
