"The Boss": AC Schnitzer Bodykit & Alus on BMW X5 (G05)

What we complained and blasphemed from tuning blog when BMW presented the X5 of the model generations G05 and of course the lifted 7er (G11 / G12). The target of the verbal attacks were of course the huge kidneys, which at first, second and third glance just seemed too overloaded. But we have to admit that this was only a snapshot and our perspective has completely changed. In the meantime we find the design absolutely coherent and suitable and especially with regard to the competition from Audi and Mercedes - NEW and INNOVATIVE! Bravo BMW, done everything right. And now the team of AC Schnitzer has buttoned the fourth generation of the X5 and completes impressively the XL-SUV. After the BMW Traditionstuner started to develop accessories for the X20 with the E53 model generation just over 5 years ago, it was a matter of course that both E70, F15 and of course the G05 should not be left out.

AC Schnitzer Bodykit & Alus

Schnitzer self-confidently gives the X5, with the surname ACS5 5.0d, the title "The Boss" and thus the position as the top dog on the road. In our opinion, but only until there will be the X7 (G07) of AC Schnitzer. That's another huge number. The Schnitzer body kit gives the X5 with M-Sport package a stylish front spoiler and the bonnet receives on the right and left so-called Bonnet Vents air vents. There are all around filigree fender flares which, in our opinion, but not suitable for the Schnitzer G05 than Widebody to call. Even if they widen the body of the X5 at the front by 14 mm and at the back by approx. 26 mm per side. For the side skirts, a special protective film has been developed and, if you like, you can apply the well-known 250 millimeter AC Schnitzer logos in the rear doors. And also at the rear of the X5 something has happened.

Roof tail wing as an attachment to the standard component

Schnitzer installed a sporty rear roof wing at dizzy heights and for the diffuser, there is a rear apron film on request. And of course he has tuners also aluminum wheels at the start. The pictures show the racing forged rims AC1 in the format 22 inch which can be ordered with black paint, but also in many other colors. Fits to it there is a subtle lowering by means of sport springs and various wheel spacers are in the range. The parts program for the X5 will be available from about summer / autumn 2019 and with high probability will then also add a performance increase for the M50d.

Alloy wheels in different liveries

They are already in the development phase for the X5 M50i and the X5 xDrive 30d. Already available are aluminum pedals, a rocker switch set, the aluminum cover "Black Line" for the iDrive controller and a stylish keyholder. Incidentally, the photo vehicle is the current top model M50d with factory 400 PS & 760 NM. If we receive timely information on further changes from Schnitzer for the G05, there will of course be an update for this report, as always. It is best to subscribe to our feed and if there is something new you will be informed immediately. We hope you enjoy looking at the pictures.
