With the new BMW i3S, the Munich team has decided to revamp the image and appearance of the Munich electric cars. The model maintenance of the i3 comes now with 184 PS (before 170) and the torque is now 270 NM (before 250) meaning that the sprint to 100 km / h is now in 6,9 seconds (before 7,3) and the maximum speed increases to 160 km / h (previously 150). And with the new 42,2 kWh battery even a WLTP range of 285 km should be in it. Visually, the changes are quite manageable. And that's where the BMW Traditionstuner comes from AC Schnitzer in the game. They have, for the normal i3 as well as the i3S, already some changes at the start. And especially the two aerodynamic parts we like very well.

The front apron gets a sporty front splitter, which is only available for LCI vehicles. He misses the front a more dynamic appearance and makes the i3s even look a bit aggressive. The rear-mounted AC Schnitzer roof rear wing is also for Non-LCI vehicles appropriate. Optionally, there is a rear apron protector and who wants to can apply 250 mm long AC Schnitzer lettering on the right and left. And the repertoire for the i3s is not only visible but also noticeable. The tuner has namely an in-house suspension spring set at the start to provide for more sportiness on the road. Here, however, it is important to note. First and foremost are the springs not suitable for vehicles with Range Extender (REX) and also the lowering is different. Of the normal i3 drops by approx. 15 - 20 mm while the i3S only bends approx. 10 - 15 mm compared to the standard chassis. The background is that BMW has the i3s already from the factory with a subtle lowering in combination with the new 20 inch alloy wheels (tires 175 & 195) on the way.

Here, however, AC-Schnitzer will soon be supplying his own Alus. Until then, the factory rims can be brought outward by 12 mm per side by means of black anodized AC Schnitzer track spreads in front and behind. And also for the interior you have come up with something. Here you can upgrade the footwell with a noble aluminum pedals and there is the already known AC Schnitzer aluminum cover "Black Line" for the iDrive controller.
