In contrast to the closed coupe, the convertible version of the Ford Mustang is quite an exotic, especially in this country. But especially as a facelift with the strengthened 450 hp five-liter V8 (previously 421 hp) and ten-speed automatic, the Mustang mutates into an egg-laying wool milk sow. After all, there are nice gimmicks for less than € 45.000 (V6) such as an emergency brake assistant including pedestrian detection, a lane keeping assistant including a warning before leaving the lane and even a distance warning. In addition, the new Ford SYNC Connect and a freely programmable, 12-inch digital cockpit. What more do you want? And I don't have to hide the pre-facelift either, as this example from rim manufacturer Ferrada Wheels proves.

It is not without reason that the sixth generation Mustang is the world's best-selling sports car with over 102.000 deliveries in 2019 for the fifth time in a row. No wonder that it is also one of the most modified sports cars in the world. The Mustang from Ferrada shows itself with a modified grille without the typical Mustang horse and there was also a spoiler lip, sill swords and a diffuser in fine carbon fiber. And the fake air intakes for the side walls on the right and left shine in a noble carbon look. But the highlight of the modifications to the body is in any case the full carbon hood with large air opening, which skillfully stands out from the red paint on the convertible. The focus of the changes on the part of Ferrada is of course the new wheelset.

FR3 in the format 10,5 x 20 inches all around

Elegant FR3 forged wheels in the format 10,5 x 20 inches are installed all around, which with their classic silver painted surface and red wheel nuts are perfectly fitted into the wheel arches of the Mustang. And for the wheelset to sit so perfectly in the wheel arches, a significant lowering by means of Airride air suspension was of course necessary. This variant of lowering enables lowering at the push of a button, which can, however, be revoked at any time in seconds. So when you press the button again, you can go up to a drivable level and damage to the mentioned carbon aerodynamic parts or the floor pan of the Mustang are avoided. A successful renovation as we find, which even comes from Germany. If we receive timely information about further changes to the Mustang, there is of course an update for this report.
