The 2020 vintage of Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio are a prime example of the uniqueness of the brand. They express the performance, unmistakable DNA and Italian style of Alfa Romeo even more. The new Quadrifoglio models offer a variety of sophisticated technical solutions combined with functional Italian design and the inimitable style of Alfa Romeo. At the center of the performance of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is the engine, in both models a V6 twin-turbo petrol engine with a displacement of 2,9 liters made almost entirely of aluminum. It has an output of 375 kW (510 hp) and produces a maximum torque of 600 Newton meters at 2.500 tours. The active torque distribution of the limited-slip differential (Alfa ™ Active Torque Vectoring) in the rear axle ensures optimal transmission of the engine power to the road. The specific tuning of the eight-speed automatic transmission guarantees a high level of driving comfort in all situations.

with Alfa ™ Active Aero Splitter

The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio are also equipped with a range of systems that increase driving pleasure and guarantee an authentic experience at the steering wheel. These include the active front spoiler (Alfa ™ Active Aero Splitter) on the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio as well as the active chassis (Alfa ™ Active Suspension) and the driving dynamics control Alfa ™ DNA Pro with additional RACE mode on both models. If this is selected, the automatic shifts gears in just 150 milliseconds. All electronic driver assistance systems are coordinated in real time by the Alfa ™ Chassis Domain Control, in order to be able to optimally use the performance of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio under all conditions. The matching soundtrack for the driving experience at the steering wheel of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is provided by a dual-mode exhaust system with four tailpipes, which provides an even more distinctive sound in RACE mode. With the new model year, a titanium exhaust system from Akrapovič® is also available as an option for Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio, which offers an even sharper dual-mode system and tailpipes with carbon fiber panels.

The typical Italian style of Alfa Romeo expresses a straightforwardness, behind which the complexity of the design process is cleverly hidden. The result of the new versions of Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is an ergonomic, harmonious composition of lines, instruments and spaces that surround the driver. In the interior, the revised center console not only enhances the haptic and visual appearance, it also offers more storage space. The steering wheel and the leather-covered gear knob have also been redesigned. As an alternative to the classic black, the seat belts are now also available in red or green. In the future, covers from perforated leather for the electrically adjustable sports seats will also be available on request from the third quarter of 2020. Exclusive to the new Quadrifoglio models, the infotainment system also offers real-time displays of important vehicle parameters - including temperatures of various components, engine torque output and turbocharger pressure - as well as data on driving performance such as acceleration and top speed. The 2020 variants of Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio can be recognized at first glance by the redesigned LED rear lights with darkened lenses and the dark, shiny finish of the V radiator grille and exterior mirrors. The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is now available with optional redesigned alloy wheels in 21-inch format.

electronic assistance systems for autonomous driving

2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia & Stelvio Quadrifoglio facelift

In the new model year, Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio are equipped with new electronic driver assistance systems developed in cooperation with Bosch®, which enable so-called autonomous driving at level 2. This level is reached by definition when the vehicle takes control of the accelerator, brake and steering under certain conditions. This is done using electronic systems that support the driver and thus offer more comfort on long journeys. The driver must still keep control of the vehicle and keep his hands on the steering wheel. The most important electronic driver assistance systems from Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio at a glance:

  • Lane Keeping Assist: Detects whether the vehicle appears to be changing lanes without activating the turn signal and warns the driver visually and by vibrating the steering wheel. The lane departure warning system also actively intervenes to keep the vehicle in lane.
  • Active Blind Spot Assist: Monitors the areas behind the vehicle that are not visible in the exterior mirrors, the so-called blind spots. It detects approaching vehicles and, if necessary, intervenes to correct the steering to avoid a collision.
  • Active cruise control system: Extended cruise control system. Automatically regulates the speed of the vehicle so that a safe distance from the vehicle in front is maintained. In cooperation with the traffic sign recognition, the automatic compliance with possible speed limits ensures an even more relaxed journey.
  • Traffic Sign Recognition / Intelligent Speed Control: With the help of a camera installed behind the windscreen, this system recognizes traffic signs, shows them on the central display and provides information, for example, about an existing speed limit. If the driver agrees, the active cruise control system is also automatically adapted to restrictions.
  • Traffic Jam Assist / Highway Assist: In addition to the active cruise control system, these systems also monitor transverse steering (lateral movement of the vehicle). You keep the vehicle in heavy traffic (traffic jam assistant) or on the motorway (motorway assistant) in the middle of the lane and regulate the speed based on the current speed limit.

Driver Attention Assist: warns the driver if fatigue is detected.

New body colors in the tradition of the brand: For the 2020 vintages of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio, the designers from Alfa Romeo have also developed the color range. The color palette now includes the exciting "Ocra GT Junior" and the "Verde Montreal". This color is a tribute to one of the icons of the brand that was presented exactly 50 years ago - the Alfa Romeo Montreal.
