Just yesterday we got the beautiful one 750 hp VLF Force 1 based on the Dodge Viper presented and today you can see the next renovation. And again the Dodge Viper is the basis. Curtain up for the Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale Zagato! And with only 9 units ever built, it is even more exclusive than the Force 1 from VLF Automotive. And he looks, at least from the front, at least as successful. However, the basis here is not the last generation of the Viper, but the Viper SRT10, which rolled off the assembly line as the third and fourth generation from 2003 to 2010. The mixture of Alfa Romeo 8C and Viper ACR-X polarizes particularly with the rear which takes getting used to and continues to enjoy the 8,4 liter V10 engine with over 600 HP under the long hood.
Manual transmission & rear wheel drive
The engine is coupled to the well-known 6-speed manual transmission of the Viper, which ends in the well-known aluminum gear lever with a typical plastic backdrop. And not only the shift knob including console is known from the Ami. In contrast to the completely changed optics, little has generally happened in the cabin. The Viper steering wheel received an Alfa logo but the instruments, the handbrake and gear lever and basically all the rest are known from the Viper. Although everything was lined with high-quality leather, it was really new, or particularly high-quality, so the cabin does not work. The VLF Force 1 went a lot harder than we think. However, its basis is also a newer generation, which should not be forgotten.
Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale Zagato
To do this, they pulled out all the stops outside and put a new vehicle on its feet. The Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale Zagato has a typical 8C design at the front and at the rear it was probably difficult to orientate oneself to the Volvo P1800S Rocket (Frua) study. The rear view has been given the unmistakable round taillights from the 8C and there is also a tiny rear window with a third brake light and an aggressive diffuser "without" tailpipes on the newly designed rear apron. Incidentally, the body made by Zagato is made entirely of carbon and in some places you can also find the look of the Dodge Viper ACR-X. For example with the sidepipes, the long wheelbase or the striking six wheel bolts per rim.
the stern caused a lot of discussion even then
While the front and the side part somehow Po***graphy on four wheels are, the rear with its curved fenders, the mentioned window and the steep trunk lid is probably a difficult matter of taste. There were already a lot of discussions at the presentation and that hasn't changed 10 years later. The Zagato TZ3 Stradale (2010) can certainly be understood as an art object, but the new price of 500.000 euros estimated at the time was already a hefty number. What else this copy will bring will be announced at RM Sotheby's auction "The Elkhart Collection" on May 1st and 2nd, 2020. This is where the exclusive athlete will be auctioned. If we get more information about the vehicle, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed of this if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to.
