A teaser is currently coming from the small series manufacturer Alpina. A picture shows the 2019 Alpina B3 / D3 Touring based on the G21 BMW 3 Series, which is to celebrate its premiere at the IAA in Frankfurt. However, technical details have so far been completely lacking. If it weren't for the typical Alpina front spoiler, you might think there is a normal 3-series touring. But it is the B3 Touring that will celebrate its world premiere at the IAA. There will probably be a double-charged six-cylinder in-line engine with a displacement of three liters, and in terms of performance, we are going to bet on 450 to 470 hp for the petrol engine, and the diesel will probably produce around 380 to 400 hp. Here we expect the engine from the XD3 and XD4 as the basis. However, these are all speculations. No guess is the maximum speed which, at least with the petrol engine, will be at +300 km / h. There will also be all-wheel drive in the touring and the well-known Alpina features such as a newly tuned automatic, a modified chassis and a few applications for the interior are also included. And of course Alpina will also launch a D3 / B3 sedan based on the G20.
