New tuning blog vehicle: 760 hp Alpina B5 Biturbo Touring all-wheel drive (G31/5er)

Today we (I) want you our new one company vehicle imagine that in the next 1-2 years also for a large part of our Reviews will serve. Especially on ours Youtube channel some videos will go online again. The vehicle is one 2019 Alpina B5 Biturbo Touring XNUMXWD (G31/5er/xDrive), the, the official successor to our (mine) BMW M550i (Stage 3) is. This one became rebuilt in small steps over the course of 2021 to 2022 and was delighted at the end with just under 700 PS performance as well as countless optical modifications. But now it was time for something new!

Alpina B5 Biturbo Touring all-wheel drive

Our Alpina B5 Biturbo Touring Allrad is the vehicle with the Number 350 and it is painted in beautiful Bluestone metallic. Changes to the optics are apart from the already installed Carbon grille and Alpina emblems front and rear not planned. After all, it is an exclusive Alpina and not an AG vehicle from BMW. Only from one Chiptuning we couldn't be dissuaded.

But even in the series condition, the performance was already phenomenal and, with measured, tight 650 PS (series 608) typically Alpina benevolently stated. With the currently installed Speed Buster CTR's tuning box come again 112 PS & 140 NM to. That means approx. 760 hp and almost 1.000 NM ensure insane acceleration values that you don't really see in the good touring. This is also suitable high-performance braking system with perforated brake discs and high-performance brake pads, appropriately dimensioned.

ALPINA CLASSIC in 20 inches

Other typical Alpina details are an "ALPINA LAVALINA" Steering wheel with seams in blue/green, there is ALPINA Logos (embossed) in the headrests, ALPINA Side sill, a rear apron in ALPINA optics with double tailpipes left & right and of course the classic ones forged wheels of the ALPINA CLASSIC type in 20 inches. And there is also an ALPINA decoration set in silver (on the side), there is the ALPINA Lettering at the rear and a free-standing ALPINA Lettering in silver in the front spoiler. With the special Sports automatic transmission (8-speed/ZF8HP76) with ALPINA Switch Tronic and an Alpina piano finish Paneling for in the interior, the Alpina components are essentially named. The rest is typical BMW and extremely extensive. The vehicle has a very rich equipment (see below).

608 PS & 800 NM torque

The most important thing is of course the already mentioned engine. Specifically, it is N63M30 from Alpina, which is based on the N63B44. However, it is extensive revised and also got new ones turbocharger donated. Incidentally, the base vehicle was a 540ix (G31). Pretty complex what Alpina did there. Since BMW no longer has a V8 Touring in its range ex works, the team from Buchloe had no other choice. Incidentally, the V8 BiTurbo with a displacement of 4,4 liters officially delivers 608 PS & 800 NM torque to all four wheels. That's it 3,7 seconds at 100 km/h and maximum are impressive 322 km/h inside. Incidentally, we have already been able to surpass both values with relative ease. Not bad for touring... A large picture gallery as well as the complete equipment list can be found below.
