Priorities -> No ALPINA with front-wheel drive planned

According to Australian media, the manufacturer Alpina, when introducing the new B7, once again confirmed that it did not want to bring any front-wheel drive vehicles onto the market. According to ALPINA boss Andreas Bovensiepen, no vehicles are generally planned on the UKL1 front-wheel drive platform from BMW. “No, it's not our plan,” Bovensiepen told the press when the question about an ALPINA B1 arose. That means the current BMW 1 Series and Mini but also the UKL2 vehicles in the form of MINI Countryman or BMW X1 will probably never be available as Alpina versions. And somehow we think that's good too! At the same time, a possible Alpina B2 based on the F22 was also contradicted. (Source: Motoring)

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
