And once again, the small series manufacturer Alpina has a successful alternative to an M model at the start. The brand new Alpina D3 S (2020) with 355 hp and mild hybrid technology based on the G21 Touring or the G20 sedan from BMW. And we see the M340d xDrive cut out with it! This one (with B57D30 3,0 liter biturbo diesel inline six cylinder) uses the D3 S, namely as the basis for the perfect refinement. There is an increase in performance to 355 hp (+ 15 PS) and the torque increases to 730 NM (+30 NM - is already present at 1.750 revolutions). Alpina promises excellent responsiveness even at very low engine speeds. At the same time, however, the joy of shooting should not be restricted. And for the first time, the new BMW mild hybrid technology is used in an Alpina. In particular, it is responsible for the performance boost in the lower speed range. Alpina relies on the well-known 8-speed sports automatic and, thanks to all-wheel drive, lets the sedan go from 4,6 to 0 km / h in just 100 seconds (Touring: 4,8 seconds) sprint.

And while the AG model is electronically limited at 250 km / h, the luxury liner from Buchloe can drive at a top speed of 273 km / h (Touring: 270 km / h) pull away. This gives you one of the fastest vehicles on the market in the field of diesel vehicles. With regard to the chassis, Alpina relies on the components from the B3 and of course the typical identifying features such as the Alpina front spoiler lip, the elegant aluminum rims and the various applications such as the individual production number plate can also be found in the interior of the D3 S. The BMW mild hybrid technology is again increased in terms of efficiency on the part of Alpina and of course the D3 S is homologated according to the latest exhaust standard Euro 6d-ISC-FCM and has the most modern exhaust gas cleaning technology on board. The most important details about the D3 S are listed below. Have fun looking at the pictures and stay true to us!
