That, the tuner Arctic trucks has been causing a sensation again and again with powerful conversions since then VW Amarok AT35 widebody or the Isuzu D-Max Stealth more than just aware. But this converted Ford F-150 Pickup once again clearly surpasses both vehicles. Curtain up for the Arctic Trucks Ford F-150 AT44 widebody! A monster that stands on 44 inch (1,12 m) large off-road tires and has also been given huge fender flares at all four ends. Incidentally, for Arctic Trucks it is the first converted F-150 but certainly not the last. Some of those who live in snowy areas are probably interested in such a monster. However, information about the vehicle is currently still quite rare. We know, however, that the wheels are 44-inch tires from the manufacturer Nokian and especially the Nokian Hakkapeliitta 44.

AT44 - especially for extreme applications

In addition, it should also be clear that you have made some modifications to the chassis to drive the new wheel / tire setup. We are assuming reinforced dampers and a higher set. But that is not certain! Incidentally, the Hakkapeliitta AT44 was developed especially for extreme applications together with Arctic Trucks. Hakkapeliitta is one of the best-known winter tire brands in areas with harsh winters and has been on the market for years with models such as the LT2, LT3 or TRI. The built-in AT44 tire is one of the superlatives that should convince with extreme grip and endurance. The tires have the size LT475 / 70 R17 and weigh around 70 kilograms each. The highlight is the sharp, V-shaped edges in the central area of the tire tread, which should keep the grooves free of snow and mud. And optionally it is even possible to mount 172 spikes, but this should only really be necessary in the rarest of cases.

the well-known EcoBoost V6 works under the hood

Without the spikes, the Hakkapeliitta remains suitable for everyday use and can also be driven on asphalt roads without any problems. And so that the huge silts can also be moved properly, the 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 in the F-150 is exactly the right choice. The video shows the incredible capabilities of the vehicle in combination with the 44 inch version in a beautiful landscape somewhere in Iceland. In any case, snow does not seem to be an obstacle here, in contrast to the frozen rivers, which are not always visible, which have already given one or the other pickup "have devoured". Watch the video! If we have timely information about further changes to the F-150 widebody from Arctic trucks received, there is of course an update for this report.
