The Arden Automotive GmbH has decided on customer request in the future to help contemporary Jaguar vehicles to shine again. As the first vehicle to have an Arden Jaguar AJ 4 completed. The base was one Jaguar Series III XJ12 Complete conversion of the 234 finished copies for decades one of the bestsellers in the field Tuning by Jochen Arden. In-house mold and engine construction gave the project the green light after a detailed examination, so that nothing stands in the way of a reissue of the classic. The first copy was thus an Arden AJ 4 based on a Daimler Double Six which passed into the hands of the owner in the summer of this year. A particularly important criterion was of course the increase in performance.

There were two internal intake manifolds with enlarged throttle, a sports exhaust system and an optimized engine control for the thick twelve-cylinder under the long bonnet. The result is 320 PS and a maximum torque of 438 Nm at 2950 rpm. which are of course reflected in the performance. In combination with a new 4-gear automatic the XJ12 flies to befitting 238 km / h and profits thereby from a clearly improved passage. And of course, the suspension and the brake system remain unaffected. Arden relies on progressively wound suspension springs for the Englishman and combines them with individually adjustable shock absorbers from Koni. The result is a pleasantly sporty driving experience with plenty of residual comfort.

The improved braking system already mentioned is now surrounded by a new wheel-tire combination. Here, chic 8,5 × 18 inch light alloy rims with wide tires in the format 245/40 ZR 18 were built all around, thus ensuring an extra portion of traction. And there are also some changes to the look. The AJ 4 comes with a front spoiler with air scoops for improved engine cooling and the black painted decorative strips and the Arden Jaguar hood ornament are important unique selling points of an AJ 4.
