Neo-Roadster: Ares Wami Lalique Spyder with a 50s look!

Can you still think of the short ones Teaser Ares Design Limited-Edition model with crystal glass parts recall? In July of this year, the Italian tuner showed a reference to the now virtually presented "Ares Wami Lalique Spyder". And it's kind of a neo-roadster in the style of the 1950s. So far, Ares' best-known project is the Panther, as a new edition of the De Tomaso Pantera. An athlete with the looks of yesteryear, but with new technology. And the “Wami Lalique Spyder” is to continue this principle. The Wami Spyder was the idea Maserati A6CGS replica presented in 2018 (we reported). And the response back then to a new vehicle with the style of the old Maserati models from the 1950s immediately met with enthusiasm.

But only now has it been possible to bring yourself to build the vehicle. As already known, Ares is cooperating with the world-famous French crystal manufacturer Lalique. The Spyder is made from a mix of hand-molded Aluminium and carbon fiber Components and the particularly retrophilic styling elements include a chrome-plated exhaust system on the right and left at the rear (In 2018, the design still showed sidepipes like the original), there are bumpers with "overriders" at the front and rear and of course beautiful ones Laced wheels. In the interior, the Wami Lalique Spyder shows itself with a tailor-made French Crystal design on handmade Italian Upholstered furniture and is therefore the perfect mix of craftsmanship and countless luxury details.

Built into it are classic dials with a white background, which of course are supposed to show a reminiscence of times gone by, but also an extendable, ultra-modern one Infotainment screen with Android Auto. The handmade components come from the Lalique factory in Wingen-sur-Moder in Alsace, France, and can almost be called "Work of art"Are designated.
