The Japanese manufacturer Toyota launched its interpretation of a crossover with the CH-R at the end of last year. Clearly, one wants to appeal to a different group of buyers with the design and make the whole brand appear "younger & fresher". At first glance, this is also successful, even if the CH-R looks a bit like a mutated Nissan Juke. But if you place them directly opposite you can see that the juke is over 20 cm smaller and the CH-R would rather poach in the repertoire of Qashqai. The Japanese tuner Artisan Spirits has now taken the brand new CH-R to their chest and developed a complete body kit for the already very spacey design that makes the CH-R an eye-catcher.
The body kit consists of a beefy front spoiler that is attached to the standard bumper and has small flaps on the side. Additional LED daytime running lights, which are built into the air openings on the right and left, ensure an even more dynamic appearance from the front. It continues with approaches for the side skirts, which also have small flaps in the rear area and thus tie in with the lines of the front spoiler. A very noticeable component is also the large approach for the rear bumper, which is intended to convey more sportiness and dynamism at the rear in a diffuser look. The attachment for the standard, we call it Bürzel, of the CH-R on the tailgate is visually quite daring, but somehow wants to fit the spacey overall appearance. In the presentation vehicle, the wheel arch extensions, which actually have a plastic look, have been painted in the color of the car, which is very beneficial to the look.
The sporty appearance is rounded off with various wheel sets and we particularly like the version painted in the body color here. In addition, there was also a significant lowering, but unfortunately we do not have any more detailed information at the moment. All in all, the entire setup looks quite successful and those who like the crazy style of the CH-R get the perfect alternative to give the Japanese an additional individuality with the Artisan Spirits Bodykit.
