Aston Martin V12 Speedster - puristic Brit for the special moments in life.

On March 4th, Aston Martin presented the new V12 Speedster at its company headquarters in Gaydon, only 88 of which will be manufactured and rolled out on the road. Created by "Q by Aston Martin", the in-house tuner of the British sports car brand, the new V12 Speedster is an absolute driver's car, which is inspired by the historic racing cars of the noble forge and the legendary F / A-18 fighter jet, and through the cooperation with the US aircraft giant Boeing has brought true experts in aircraft design on board in Gaydon. The new V12 Speedster is a demonstration of the passion with which the “Q by Aston Martin” team goes to work every day.

Design for demanding customers

The exterior design of the V12 Speedster from Aston Martin is characterized by uncompromising radicalism and the omission of unnecessary ballast. The typical Aston Martin design has found its way into the front, which has been raving about sports car fans all over the world for decades with its traditional grill and elliptical headlights. As a special highlight at the front, Aston Martin has rediscovered the air scoop on the new V12 Speedster. A design element that graced classic Aston Martin models of the 1960s, but then unfortunately disappeared to this day. The rear end is dominated by a large fixed spoiler and the taillights in the style of the current Aston Martin V8 Vantage. There is no windshield or a convertible top, and the Biposto also clearly delimits the driver and front passenger, who sit very far apart in the narrow, sporty cockpit. The Aston Martin V12 Speedster rolls on forged 21-inch alloy wheels, which are painted matt gray and have a five-spoke look.

Exquisite materials and sporty accents

The interior combines traditional materials such as leather with modern high-tech components such as carbon fibers and aluminum in the most stylish way. Quilted saddle leather as seat covers contrasts with decorative inlays made of carbon and aluminum. Even rubber, which comes from the 3D printer, is used as decor in the interior. In order to focus on the driver, the V12 Speedster dispenses with any kind of monitors in the cockpit, because this track tool, which capitalizes on performance, is reduced to the essentials that the sporty gentleman driver really needs in order to circle the race track as quickly as possible.

V12 biturbo as a proper drive source

The luxury car is powered by a 5,2-liter V12 biturbo petrol engine that delivers 700 hp and 753 Nm of torque. The front mid-engine concept, together with the rear-wheel drive, ensures a balanced weight distribution and the power transmission takes place via an eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF. The new V12 Speedster is able to accelerate to highway speed 3,5 in a breathtaking 100 seconds and is electronically limited at 300 km / h. The track tool should therefore be completely motorized to show what performance it is capable of on various racetracks around the world.

It has never been cheap to be able to call an Aston Martin your own, and that applies even more to a 88-piece track tool with a V12 engine. For the price of £ 765.000, the solvent clientele gets a unique automobile that combines luxury, performance and exclusivity like no other. It would be an absolute coincidence if you encounter this racing car in the wild, because most of the 88 Aston Martin models will probably only be moved on the racetrack and on the way there.
