The best for last: last Aston Martin V12 Vantage!

For fifteen years now, the V12 Vantage has impressively demonstrated what passion means for Aston Martin. Over time, through various variants, a pedigree of equally fast and impetuous vehicles has emerged, all of which embody the same thing: the fusion of the most compact and driver-oriented car with the largest and most powerful series-produced engine. Aston Martin is now crowning this success story with the fastest, liveliest and most dynamically mature V12 Vantage ever. Limited to just 333 examples, this latest variant caps an era in fitting and class. The car is an expression of absolute excellence and action for the driver. It combines incomparable speed on the straights and captivating handling with a stylish, sleek appearance whose exclusivity catches the eye of every envious observer - a very tempting overall package. The demand was correspondingly overwhelming: After the V12 Vantage was announced last December, all of the units had already been sold, so that a long list of interested parties is now eagerly awaiting the bid.

Aston Martin V12 Vantage

Aston Martin Chief Executive Officer Tobias Moers says of the V12 Vantage: “A good sports car brand always needs some kind of flagship. For Aston Martin, that has been the V12 Vantage in recent years. The basic idea of packing the largest engine in the smallest and sportiest model has delighted our customers and fans since the V12 Vantage RS Concept was first presented in 2007. This idea runs like a red thread through the history of this model, in which we have managed to make various optimizations over the course of time. As a fitting conclusion to this success story, we now introduce the fastest, most powerful and dynamic V12 Vantage ever. It pays homage to its predecessors and also embodies the important role that driving dynamics plays at Aston Martin today. Stop when it’s most beautiful: that’s what we do with the V12 Vantage.”

The heart of every Aston Martin is its engine. That's especially true for this car, the fastest and most powerful Vantage ever built. The 5,2 liter, 60-degree V12 with four camshafts delivers an output of 6500 hp at 700 rpm and a torque of 1800 Nm between 6000 and 753 rpm. That means excellent performance in the low and mid-range with impressive power towards the redline. This allows the V12 Vantage to go from 3,5 to 0 km/h in just 100 seconds and reach a top speed of 322 km/h. Thanks to the powerful drive and the consistent use of weight-saving materials, the V12 Vantage achieves a power-to-weight ratio of 390 hp per ton, 20% more than the V8 Vantage.

The best for last: last Aston Martin V12 Vantage!

Weight-saving measures include the use of carbon fiber (front bumper, clamshell hood, front fenders and side skirts) and composite materials (rear bumper and decklid), an ultra-lightweight battery and a custom dual-pipe mid-mount exhaust system. This innovative exhaust system not only gives the new V12 Vantage the right amount of attention, it is also 1 kg lighter than the Vantage thanks to the lightweight, 7,2 mm thick stainless steel. Power is transmitted via an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and a mechanical limited-slip differential at the rear. The transmission, specially calibrated for the V12 Vantage, shortens shift times and involves the driver more closely in the action, with experience from the development of the V12 Speedster and Vantage F1® models also being incorporated.

The specially adjusted software ensures such precise and driver-friendly shifting behavior that even double-clutch transmissions cannot achieve. Adaptive transmission software determines the ideal gear based on current driving conditions and human intervention to deliver a driver-centric driving experience. As with its acclaimed predecessors, the main goal of the V12 Vantage is to enable highly dynamic driving behavior that corresponds to the unrestrained engine performance and the character associated with it. To this end, the suspension will receive a new adaptive damping system with new anti-roll bars, bushings and assemblies of springs and shock absorbers.

The spring rates have been increased by 50% at the front and 40% at the rear, and the rigidity of the top mounts has increased by 13%. In addition, the anti-roll bars are now 5% stiffer at the front and 41% softer at the rear. To ensure driver comfort, there is a secondary helper spring on the rear suspension. It ensures a lower spring rate than the main spring and thus more driving comfort without impairing the dynamics. Additional front and rear shear plates, a rear strut brace and a stiffened fuel tank have increased body rigidity (kNm/degree) by 8% and lateral rigidity (kNm/mm) by 6,7%, optimizing the platform for dynamic driving could become. The tweaks also come in the form of recalibrated controls, improved steering feel and more accurate response, all of which combine to further improve the driving experience.

6-piston front calipers / 4-piston rear calipers

The standard carbon-ceramic brake system with brake discs measuring 410 mm x 38 mm and 6-piston brake calipers at the front and brake discs measuring 360 mm x 32 mm and 4-piston brake calipers at the rear ensure the corresponding braking performance. These carbon-ceramic brake discs increase braking performance, save significantly on unsprung mass and work reliably even at high temperatures (no brake loss up to 800 °C). As a result, the driver enjoys maximum safety and control when he or she fully drives the V12 Vantage. This type of brake disc saves 23 kg of unsprung mass compared to comparable discs made of steel - another plus for the driving behavior and dynamic handling.

The demand for dynamics is visually expressed, among other things, in the two new rim designs of the 21-inch wheels in satin black and diamond-turned satin black. Particularly light rims in satin black are optionally available, which reduce the overall weight by another 8 kg. A bespoke color match between the diamond turned rim details and the bodywork or graphics packages is available via the Q by Aston Martin service. In the basic configuration, all vehicles are supplied with Michelin Pilot 4S high-performance tires (275/35 R21 at the front and 315/30 R21 at the rear).

Such an uncompromising pursuit of performance and driving pleasure calls for an equally uncompromising aesthetic. The V12 Vantage impresses with a body that is now 40 mm wider, which reflects the widening of the chassis, which has been optimized for cornering behavior and stability. The aerodynamic elements of this widened body, which has been redesigned and heavily influenced by the use of carbon fibre, also stand out. This all-round impressive vehicle is spectacular to look at, especially when viewed from the front. Here you can admire the front splitter stretched across the entire width, which wonderfully complements the newly designed bumper, generates additional downforce and aerodynamic stability and also visually emphasizes the excellent road holding.

To direct more air to the radiator, the grille has been increased by 25%. In addition, the bonnet now features a horseshoe-shaped engine bay vent, improving cooling while also mimicking the character of the impressive GT12, the roadworthy homage to the legendary V12 Vantage GT3 racer. The bold design continues along the side profile, which also features racing-inspired one-piece side skirts reminiscent of previous versions of the V12 Vantage. At the rear, a new unique bumper with an integrated diffuser ensures aerodynamic balance along the entire length of the vehicle. The focus here is the redesigned, mid-mounted exhaust system with two tailpipe trims. The completely revised design is rounded off by the imposing rear spoiler, which generates up to 204 kg of downforce at top speed and, like the rest of the V12 Vantage, makes a visual statement.

also available without a rear spoiler on request

If a more subtle, slimmer silhouette is desired, the car is optionally available without a rear spoiler. Even without one, the V12 Vantage maintains flow balance thanks to the sophisticated underbody aerodynamics, remains stable at high speeds and delivers ultimate performance. At the wheel, thanks to the open cargo area, the driver is accompanied by the distinctive soundtrack of the V12, which also makes the strut bar for the rear wheel suspension visible. When it comes to interior design, the V12 Vantage stays true to the essence of the current Vantage. Its status as a model leader is underlined by standard Sports Plus seats, which are fully covered in semi-aniline leather and feature the wing emblem quilted and decorated as a perforation pattern.

New, six-way adjustable carbon fiber performance seats with a visible twill carbon seat shell are also available as an option, which contribute to the striking appearance that is all about the outstanding driving dynamics. It's a patented Aston Martin design that's inspired by racing and saves 7,3kg without sacrificing comfort. For additional visual refinement, both inside and out, the V12 Vantage can be customized using the “Q by Aston Martin” personalization service. Customers can put together their own unique item using a variety of unique design options.

Striking body graphics and paintwork are available in a variety of color combinations, as are colored brake calipers and painted rims. Various tinted paint finishes are available for the visible carbon fiber elements via the "Q by Aston Martin: Commission" service, which underline the value of these hand-finished parts. Depending on the light conditions, the appearance of these tints changes: in dark places and low light they remain subtle and understated, in bright places they give the vehicle a jewel-like shine.

exclusive design options for the interior

There are also exclusive design options for the interior. The color of the seat inserts made of woven leather or Alcantara, the decorative inserts and the rotary switch in the center console can be selected to match or contrast with the exterior color in order to make the use of colors in the interior particularly clever. With so many design options, there's a good chance that no two cars are alike. Marco Mattiacci, Aston Martin Global Chief Brand and Commercial Officer, adds: “Aston Martin is an automaker whose cars are always dreams. That is the fascinating thing about our brand. The V12 Vantage will be reserved for a very limited number of customers. But as with our other special models, the special feature does not only lie in the exclusivity. Thanks to Q by Aston Martin, the possibilities for personalization are so great that even a car as rare as the V12 Vantage can be further individualized according to customer requirements.” Production of the V12 Vantage will start in the first quarter of 1, with the first deliveries in 2022nd quarter of 2. Due to overwhelming demand, the order window is already closed.
