It is the smallest in the Audi model range, and quite exotic when it comes to tuning. the A1, Ingolstadt's answer to the Mini Cooper never really made a breakthrough and, according to rumors, it will continue even after the current generation of models has expired completely adjusted. With the changeover of the model range to electric drive, several Audi models will probably end up doing the same, because it is also in the stars whether there will be a successor to the super sports car R8, for example. We think that's a shame, but now let's focus on the automotive present and introduce you to one First generation Audi A1 which is native to Brazil and has been modified by its tuner called Chavitus.

Jon Olsson-style show car.

The Audi A1, which incidentally dates from 2011, is already outwardly due to its foiling striking in the Gumball 3000 style. The Brazilian tuner took Jon Olsson's Lamborghini to the prototype, and wrapped the A1 with it geometric shapes in camouflage style. In our opinion, the foiling looks sporty on the little Ingolstadt, and the powder-coated, red ones also go with it Rotiform rims from his old one VW Saveirothat the tuner previously owned.

The Alus in 8 × 17 inch format look really sporty on the A1. On the rims were Tires in the format 195 / 40 R17 drawn up, and are located on the rear axle 30 mm spacers. Somehow we can't get rid of the impression that tuner Chavitus remembered the classic Audi racing cars when he wrapped his Audi with this unusual look, for example that Audi RS6 GTO Concept, which we introduced some time ago, has a similar look.

But that was far from it, because the Audi A1 even has an intelligent one Airride chassis from AccuAir with Smart Central, a system that automatically adjusts the chassis height to the condition of the road with the help of sensors built into the fender. In addition, the driver can also use a remote control from the interior to set the desired height of the Airride chassis manually to adjust.

In the interior, almost everything remained standard.

With the exception of the Airride control, the cockpit remained completely untouched, and thus all comfort and safety features were completely retained. The trunk, on the other hand, is almost unusable because the AccuAir air suspension equipment was installed in the front part.

A 1,4-liter turbo gasoline engine powers the Audi A1.

The well-known and popular 1.4 TFSI engine in this example 122 PS and 200 Newtonmeter provides maximum torque, ensures propulsion. Unfortunately, we do not know whether the vehicle has a manual or automatic transmission, but in any case the front wheels are driven. The A1 doesn’t tear up trees with its performance, but it can swim well in traffic, and there is a speed limit in Brazil anyway.

Our Conclusion about this Audi A1 1.4 TFSI:

We like what we see. A cool, coherent project that also goes a little into the racing history of the brand with the four rings.
