Anyone who knows the new, height-adjustable spring systems from H&R knows that they have been specially developed for the growing number of vehicles with standard adaptive chassis and hardness-adjustable dampers. H&R is now delivering these innovative components for a large number of vehicles and, as usual for H&R, of course everything comes with a parts certificate and is "Made in Germany". Regardless of whether it is BMW M models like the M2, M3, M4 or the X5M, the current Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the potent C63 AMG, numerous Porsche models or the Audi series A4, A5, Q5, SQ5 and R8 , thanks to H&R, everyone gets more dynamism and improved optics on request. The example vehicle shown here as the Audi A4 Avant of the B9 series is also equipped with this. It does not matter whether it is a 2WD or 4WD (Quattro). From the year of construction 2015 all types can be equipped with the spring systems.

Fine tuning for series shock absorbers

The well thought-out adjustment mechanism of the H&R HV spring systems, using the adaptive series dampers and completely without functional restrictions or adjustment of the control electronics, enables a continuous lowering of the vehicle's center of gravity in the tested setting range of up to 50 millimeters (vehicle model-dependent) - no problem. Such a significant lowering can otherwise only be achieved with classic coilovers. By coordinating the HV spring systems with the respective series shock absorbers and damper characteristics, a significant lowering is possible. The advantages of adaptive chassis technology can be fully exploited in this way. A nice side effect of the sporty vehicle appearance is that the lowered center of gravity also results in a significant increase in driving dynamics.
