Hard to believe, but the third generation of the Audi RS4 Avant has been on the market since April 2012 and still has a design that doesn't have to hide behind the current B9 in any way. And since it is the "new“In any case, the RS2018 will not be available before 4, the RS4 B8 remains the beefiest model in the A4 series. Even if the 354 PS strong 3.0 TFSI has been in the B9 S4 for a good two months, the body is almost unchanged compared to that of a 150 PS B9 1.4 TFSI with S-Line package. Of course there are a few changes to the radiator grille or the bumpers here and there, but the really big overall visual package will probably only come with the new RS4. And this is exactly where the B8 shows its advantage because it comes with significantly widened fenders at the front, flared side walls at the rear, exterior mirrors in aluminum look, enlarged air inlets at the front and a diffuser at the rear of the vehicle and thus offers enough format to optically close the current S4 behind it hold.
As far as the driving performance is concerned, the high-speed V8 engine with a displacement of 4,2 liters and 450PS is likely to have a hard time leaving the 6-cylinder turbo, which is clearly weaker on paper, behind. So much for that and now about the RS4 B8 in beautiful metallic blue. The Ingolstadt got a 20 inch Vossen Wheels VLE-1 wheel set in dark gray which, in conjunction with a significant lowering, makes this RS4 an absolute eye-catcher. Apart from black Audi rings in front & back and a black RS4 emblem, there were no optical changes and yet you can tell at first glance that it is no Series vehicle acts.
In my opinion, the beefy design still plays in a different league and in conjunction with the eye-catching rims, the RS4 looks unmistakable. We hope that we will receive more detailed information on the specifications of the rims and their tires in the next few days. Until then, we wish you a lot of fun with the many pictures.
