An Audi Q8 does not look exactly tame and well-behaved at the factory, because its sheer size and, above all, its width make it a sensation in road traffic. A car the size of an Audi Q8 is often a thorn in the side of environmentalists who are demanding a ban on giant SUVs. Then, of course, there are also car fans who disagree, and for whom a Q8 looks far too good in series trim, and who would like a stricter version of the new Audi SUV without having to take the RS Q8, which with its 600 PS tears up the asphalt and teaches fear to established super athletes, but is also very expensive in terms of consumption and maintenance. For this species, the Japanese tuner Rowen Automotive has now put a superlative Audi Q8 on the wheels, which makes the hearts of all tuning fans beat faster.

An Ingolstadt in JDM style.

At first glance, what sounds like blasphemy, namely an Audi in JDM style, fits together much better than bread dumplings with soy sauce. With its lowering and the three-part 24-inch wheels, which have a very flowery design, it looks optically on a station wagon instead of an SUV. The race parts on the side and the Gurney flap on the tailgate testify to Rowen's intention to apply the typical JDM style to an SUV from Ingolstadt, instead of only hitting a Nissan GTR R35 or the new one with the stars of the JDM scene Toyota Supra. The front of the Q8 was also made nastier and grimmer than in the standard trim by various add-on parts, because there flaps can now be presented below the large air intakes. Particularly striking is the body kit at the rear, which is characterized by a central diffuser and huge, rectangular exhaust trims. This makes the Audi an absolute show stopper on every tuning show.

Prices, availability and start of series not yet known.

Unfortunately, it is not known whether this Audi is a one-off from the Japanese tuner Rowen or whether the body kit for the Q8 will go into series production. It is also not clear whether the kit will also be available in Europe and what price you have to expect if you intend to throw your Q8 so extravagantly in order not to be out of the mass of the various giant SUVs to go down.
