Carbon athletes: the Audi R8 from Project Cars!

The team of Carlos Molina, the owner of Project Cars based in El Paso, Texas, regularly converts a wide variety of vehicles that always cause a stir. Best example is one Ford F-150 Pickup on 37 inch (0,94 m) off-road tires and also the recently introduced one Widebody Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat on Forgeline Alus is not necessarily a wallflower. The tuner's vehicles are almost regular guests at the SEMA Auto Show in Las Vegas. American vehicles are usually used as the basis for a conversion. However, sometimes there are exceptions. And definitely an exception is this V10 coupé in the form of an R8 from Audi. He was allowed to ask about an individual finishing from the Projekt Cars team. And it was last admired as a Hella show car at the SEMA Show last year.

Foiling and carbon styling.

The mid-engine athlete was given a deep red Foil overdrawn. The color "Trueblood" from Teckwrap naturally immediately draws the attention of passers-by and trade fair visitors. bet while doing so Carbon body parts from the program of Vorsteiner successful contrasts on the red super sports car. A new spoiler characterizes the front of the sports car. And the big fixed one rear wing at the end of the R8 is the matching counterpart to the spoiler lip. The filigree side skirts, or rather sill Swords, round in combination with Carbon mirror caps the overall picture. And also the extremely distinctive ones Rims match the look of the vehicle. Specifically, he stands on multi-parters in the sizes 10×20 and 12×20 inches. And the material mix of the round pieces is particularly exclusive. The Y spokes of the ForgeLine Alus are classically made of aluminum and powder-coated in red. But there are still made of carbon Beds from Dymag integrated. A very cool station wagon, we think.

The V10 is particularly powerful!

Incidentally, behind the Forgeline aluminum is the factory one Carbon-ceramic brakes installed by Audi. The R8, with its freely aspirating 5,2-litre ten-cylinder engine, certainly cannot be described as underperforming. Nevertheless, the owner wished for a little more power. And the wish was of course implemented by Project Cars. For this, the motor system was equipped with a Software optimized by APR. According to the tuner's APR website, the upgrade is to 630 hp and 570 Nm maximum torque have led. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
