Why not? Audi RS1 (A1 II) by tuningblog.eu

It took a long eight years for Audi to venture into a completely new A8. But now the official A1 1X successor as A8 II (internal type designation GB) is at the start. The current top model is the 1 TFSI which trumps with 40 PS & 200 NM. The design is refreshingly different and there is a wide Golf-style C-pillar, L-shaped taillights, roof and A-pillars in a contrasting color and a particularly striking front with three air slots between the bonnet and grille. It won't be long before the S320 is at the start and we've already thought about it like a possible one RS1 model year 2018 could look like. There was also a visible carbon front spoiler on the front and large air intakes without fog lights right and left. For this we have a RS grille installed in the honeycomb design and of course, a matching RS1 badge may not be missing. RS are typical, the fender widened a bit and a lowering can not be missing. More was not done and we personally like this variant very well.

it is also more discreet with an Audi S1

If the RS1 pictured above is too strong for a number, then an underlying S1 may be a variant. We have the Ingolstadt the widebody kit again taken and also the RS typical bumper with the carbon spoiler lip is not seen here. What was there is a significant lowering, a set of black headlights in front and a darkened Audi emblem. But the highlight is a set of three-piece 20 BBS RS forged wheels. We also removed the door handles at the front and back and darkened the windows all around.

Now our question to you, what do you think of that? Would you like the RS1 or the S1 based on the current A1 or would that be “Too much” and yet a number too blatant? We would be happy to see the car like this or at least something like it on our streets. As the optimal engine, the two-liter four-cylinder TFSI with approx. 330 hp from the motorsport RS3 would be exactly the right decision for the RS1, right? And the S1 could be bought a diesel. The four-cylinder engine of the Audi A3 (Engine code CUPA, CUNA) with factory 184 PS should certainly be durable with about 230 PS and would be a successful alternative to the RS1 gasoline engine for us.
