(Display)

With the new generation of the Audi A1 (internal type designation GB) the desire for a real RS1 top model arises again. What was forbidden to the predecessor A1 8X could this time become reality? But the chances are again really bad! But a little hope gives us the fact that the A1 will probably come at least as a potent S1. But that's not enough, so let's build our own RS1. At least virtually! Maybe our copy will make Audi think again about the RS1. What did we do with the normal A1? Our RS1 shows itself with a typical RS front apron including splitter. There was an RS honeycomb grill and widebody fender flares all around.

“Provocateur” valve system from Special Concepts

The side section is underlined by filigree sill swords and something has also changed at the rear. Here too there is an apron in the typical style of the well-known RS models, which is provided with a diffuser and a right / left sports exhaust system. And the exhaust is not the irgendein Exhaust. We installed - in RS tailpipe optics - the “Provocateur” flap exhaust system from Special Concepts, which also explains the large logo of the tuner on the passenger side. The background noise is there real, It is the original sound of a current Audi four-cylinder with a "Provocateur" flap system. And under the hood? We simply stuffed the 2,0-liter TFSI engine (DJHA) from the S3 and TT S.

450 HP are no problem in the S3, so why in the RS1 ...

In combination with a chip tuning, a new turbocharger, changes to the intake and improved cooling, an increase in performance from 310 PS to over 450 PS should not be a problem. And in order to bring this enormous performance to the road, no effort was spared and so there was a Quattro all-wheel drive, as with the previous 2.0 TFSI (S1). As you can see, we have made a lot of other changes to the RS1. The RS radiator grille bears a black Audi emblem, which can also be found on the rear. To do this, we removed the door handles, giving the RS1 a particularly "clean" look. From now on, the doors can only be opened via remote control. Not registrable, but awesome!

Forged wheels from BBS

Of course, a significant lowering and a suitable wheelset were also not lacking. While the lowering was realized with a fully adjustable coilover including lift function, we used forged rims from BBS for the rims. In particular, it is the type BBS E55, which consistently fills the wheel arches with a glossy black paint finish in 19 inch format. And to match the completely darkened windows all around, we tinted the main headlights and the rear lights. Any other chrome, such as the window frame, was also dispensed with. We have freed the tailgate from the rear wiper, there was also an RS1 badge. Finally, the body is wrapped in a glossy white and the roof is black. In the area of so-called HotHatchs, our RS1 would probably attract a lot of attention. Or what do you mean? We hope you enjoy watching the pictures and the video.

    Hi Thomas.

that's a shame, because I think many would be happy if there were.

Is there a chance that there will be a body kit for this vehicle (A1 GB)?

    Best regards

    Christian Kian

    • If it is up to me (us) then immediately 🙂 At the moment I could only imagine Prior Design as a possible candidate.
